There's Always Time To Create...

Yesterday, I had finished packing for our trip and was waiting for Handsome to finish his last-minute tasks, so I headed into the studio for a little while. What to do? What to do?

I pulled out my muslin, a favorite acorn stamp and ink, and started tearing strips of fabric. When I was finished with the "aggressive" portion of the project, I started stamping down the length of the ribbon. The result is a lovely, shabby ribbon that I'll use to wrap gifts, embellish projects and tie up stray bundles of fabric. Voila! A project finished in the time it takes one Handsome husband to prep for a trip. See? I told you! There's always time to create!

  1. Hope you have a great trip here in the north land! The neighboring state to the west! I bet Wisc has as much snow as we do here in MN. Winter is not over yet, but we're all waiting for spring.

  5. Donna,
I love the stamp you used on the muslin, where did you find it? I am so nutty about stamping on muslin right now. Can't stop, just stamp, stamp, stamp. Everything! Your a busy girl, can't imagine making a wedding gown, & christening gown too?! You are such a gifted seamstress tho, I can't wait to see the finished dresses. Have fun with the hub on your trip. PS About the bobbles. Should have made it clearer. Pour each well about 3/4 full, lay your picture face down on top. Use a stick to gently push it down just a little. Mainly your trying to make sure no air or bubbles are inbetween the picture & resin. Then pour a little more resin on top & smooth with the stick so it is level. Then do the breathing thing a couple of times. That is just MY method that works for me. I'm sure you can just pour the resin and top off with pic. Let me know how it works for you.
