We managed to maneuver through security at Milwaukee's Mitchell International Airport, and as we headed to our gate, I happened to look up and see this sign. It's right above the area where you can put your shoes back on, and "get dressed" again after going through all the security checks. Someone has a sense of humor, don't you think? I had to take a picture for you!
All the suitcases are empty now and it's time to think about my next project. I promise to return tomorrow with some new ideas for you, and a peek at what's on deck in the studio.
Late day edit: My aunt just gave me this link to a Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel article that was written about that sign. You can read it here.
Yay, I'm so glad you're home safe!
ReplyDeleteLOL, for a minute I thought you had photoshopped that sign. Too funny!
Love ya!

Hi Donna! Wonderful to have you back. Hope it was lots of fun.
ReplyDeleteHugs...Tracy :)
Donna Glad that you had a safe flight home that weather didn't look very nice to fly home in. Love the sign at the airport.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a lovely visit catching up with your loved ones.
Glad to hear that you had a great time and arrived home safely. Thank you for sharing the airport sign, definitely some one trying to make light of a bothersome part of travelling.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you made it home safe and sound! Look forward to seeing your next project(s)!

Welcome home! My husband just flew from/to Milwaukee airport last week, but he missed the sign. Too funny! :-) I'll have to look for it the next time we fly.

Welcome Home! Take a deep breath, grab a cup of hot coffee or tea, a new magazine, and sit in your favorite chair. There's really truly 'No place like Home' huh??
ReplyDeleteHave a relaxing rest of the week!
That is so funny and so true. Whenever I fly I feel like I have to get 'redressed' after the security check. Glad you are back home.
ReplyDeleteHey Donna, sounds like you had a wonderful trip. Your mom is such a gorgeous gal. I can tell she's your mum. I had to laugh at that airport sign. I thought it was a joke at first. You're right someone had a great sense of humor. and your grandson is such a good lookin' little guy and how sweet, love the glow in the dark necklace and rootbeer. Just too cute!
ReplyDeletehugs and love,
Debra

ReplyDeleteYour picture of the weather reminded me of what I drove to work in this morning. I am glad that you made it home safely. Take care.
ReplyDeleteIt's been years since I flew. And I don't want to! Yes, that someone does indeed have a sense of humor. Or we're missing something.

ReplyDeleteDonna,
ReplyDeleteThere's no place like home, and safe! I just noticed you left a comment on my post just seconds ago. I was visiting here and switched over to my email and saw your comment. Like minded. Can't wait to see your projects. Girl, you have more energy! Take care.

Having blog problems, not being able to connect with others until today. So I had the joy of catch up about your trip. The concert, the return to a favorite restaurant, your darling grandson (what a love),your beautiful shaker box and fabulous embroidery, the fog and the fun sign. I am glad you had such a good time and are home safe and sound.
