Rolling Thunder and Feminine Pursuits...

I know. You can't even imagine this creative grandma on two wheels. It doesn't fit the image you have of me. I've tried to break it to you slowly, and I know it's difficult. So, I'm not going to show you a picture of me actually riding quite yet...or even sitting on my bike. I'll just stand next to it for your first image of me with my '03 Deuce. Next time, I'll show you one of me actually sitting on it!

On Monday, the weather was beautiful - even if it was a bit chilly - and I hadn't been on the bike in months! I was anxious to get out and ride again. Being the faithful blogger that I am, we had to commemorate my first ride of 2010 with a photograph. (Handsome took the photo, of course!)

Ok, so that's enough for now. Are you ok? Hope you'll be back to visit again tomorrow when I show you what I've been working on in the studio. Until then, I'll leave you with something to dream on...My newest issue of Jeanne d'Arc Living arrived from The Beautiful Life yesterday. It came wrapped in tissue paper with lengths of beautiful dove grey ribbon. Swoon-worthy. There, there. Feel better?

  13. As long as I've known him, my husband has always had at least one Harley in the garage. Most times it's two Harleys in the garage. But I've never wanted to ride one myself ... always happy to just sit back and enjoy the ride behind him. There are more and more female riders out there now and it's nice to see! Can't get any better than a Harley on a nice day!

  17. I think it is wonderful that you ride. My daughter rides and enjoys it. She learn so that if they were someplace and her hubby got sick, she would be able to get the bike home. She is very independent. I have rode a long time ago, but I am content to ride behind. Take care and Enjoy the ride. I will be back tomorrow to see what you have been doing.

  19. I'm so jealous of you. I haven't been riding for 2 years and every year once it gets warm until its too cold again, I miss riding. I watch and hear bikes go around my town and I really wish I was on the back of one.
