Autumn Is Here...

 

I spent part of the day in the studio yesterday.

I love being back at my machines and creating pretty things...

even when they have a spooky theme!

I chose a vintage peach-colored button to embellish the muslin flower.

It's my subtle nod to Halloween pumpkins. Hardly my scariest effort, 

but I think the pillow cover will fit in nicely with any decor.

I might have to make an extra one for myself!

My Autumn issue of Jeanne d'Arc Living magazine arrived yesterday, too.

I'm going to make a cup of tea, grab this issue 

and spend a little time enjoying the beauty within its pages.

Rolling Thunder and Feminine Pursuits...

I know. You can't even imagine this creative grandma on two wheels. It doesn't fit the image you have of me. I've tried to break it to you slowly, and I know it's difficult. So, I'm not going to show you a picture of me actually riding quite yet...or even sitting on my bike. I'll just stand next to it for your first image of me with my '03 Deuce. Next time, I'll show you one of me actually sitting on it!

On Monday, the weather was beautiful - even if it was a bit chilly - and I hadn't been on the bike in months! I was anxious to get out and ride again. Being the faithful blogger that I am, we had to commemorate my first ride of 2010 with a photograph. (Handsome took the photo, of course!)

Until then, I'll leave you with something to dream on...My newest issue of Jeanne d'Arc Living arrived from The Beautiful Life yesterday. It came wrapped in tissue paper with lengths of beautiful dove grey ribbon. Swoon-worthy. There, there. Feel better?
