I'm going to do this in my best Charlie Brown teacher's voice...WAAAH WAAAHHH. I'm sad to see the celebration come to an end. Choosing gift packages every day has been so much fun for me! I'm just sad that there can be only five winners this time.

So, with that in mind, I'm revealing the gift(s) for DAY FIVE of my 16th Blog Anniversary celebration...

How would one lucky winner like to receive their very own travel sewing case? You'll remember how I recently shared that I'd learned about turning travel jewelry cases into fun sewing cases. Well, when I purchased two cases recently, I had this giveaway in mind.

Here's the (I hope) best part...The winner of this gift can choose to have it sent directly to them as is (I've already removed the ring holder part in the center of the lift-out section), OR we can collaborate and I'll fit it out for you in the theme of your choice.

That means, I'd work with the winner choosing trims, colors, fabrics, etc. and I'll include a Brynwood magnetic needle keep as a bonus. If the winner chooses to embellish their case themselves, I'll still include the needle keep, and add some trims that can be used or not.

DAY FOUR GIVEAWAY...

We've made it to Day Four of my 16th Blog Anniversary Giveaway, and I have a new gift package to share with you for today. This one will work for needleworkers or quilters! Let's have a look, shall we?

  I'll be making more clutch wallets over the next few days to stock my Etsy shop... and, with our guild quilt show coming up next month, I'd better get busy with my  entries. I'm planning to enter three items, which I promise to tell you about soon.  For now, I'm packing up Gill's wallet and heading to the post office.  

Tuesdays With Tag - Walkies and A Winner...

 Hi, Everybody!

Mom and I went for a walk down our street this week. 

We have new neighbors all over the place, and I'm excited 

because some of them even have FOUR legs!

Our newest neighbors aren't very far away from our house. I even got

 a whiff of one of them. My Corgi senses stood right up and I had

 to investigate further. I cozied right up to the fence for a better look.

 Can you guys see what I see?

 Come on! Look closer. See the pony waaayyy back there? 

Mom said that he usually hangs out loose in the front yard when she drives

by, but not this day. She said next time she sees him out she'll come back and 

get me. (Of course, we're assuming it's a "him". We don't really know yet.)

She said there's another surprise in their yard, too, but you can't see it here.

She told me a goat  lives in this yard with the horse. I can't wait to sniff a goat!

 We were walkin' back home when I heard someone followin' us. They

 were actually sniffin' our neighbor's horse's yard! (It's ok. There's plenty

for everybody.) I turned around first, and then Mom turned around 

so we could both be neighborly and say "hi". I was likin' this walk!

 I decided to just sit a spell and wait for 'em to catch up. It didn't

 take long 'cuz they were walkin'pretty fast! Mom took the lead and

asked all the questions while I nonchalantly exercised my nose.

Trust me. I was smoooooooth!

This pretty lady is a new neighbor on the other side of our house. She's married to a musician Dad knows and has played with in Port Charlotte. Her name is Suzanne and she's really sweet.   I hate to admit I was too sidetracked with sniffin' and snortin' that I  plum forgot this guy's name. He's a Sharpei that Miss Suzanne and  her husband rescued. He's still growin' into his wrinkles!    I decided to be a little cautious with him because he was still a little "post-rescue" nervous and I really want to be friends with him. Mom is always extra protective of me so I don't get hurt, but we were lookin' out "extra" to make sure there were no shenanigans. Mom and Miss Suzanne agreed that once we're better acquainted,  we can all go for walkies together! I'd like that a lot.
I really like walkies. You never know just who you'll run into! OHHHH! It's time to announce the winner of my Birthday Giveaway, too!!!

Fourth Blog Birthday Giveaway...

 To celebrate my FOURTH BLOG BIRTHDAY, I've selected an assortment 

of wonderful things to share for a GIVEAWAY! There are five different

gift packages, but only FOUR will be given away. I want the winners to

My Blog Is FOUR Today...

Who knew when I wrote my first blog post on March 15, 2009, I would

continue to write to you on a nearly daily basis for FOUR whole years? 

I sure didn't! I have written a total of 1406 posts since that first one!

I'm putting together FOUR giveaway gifts to share with you, and I hope to

have a little something you'll like, whether you love all-things-vintage, 

sewing/quilting, paper crafts or some other relaxing pursuit. 

I'll be posting the FOUR different gift packages tomorrow.

So, the celebration starts today - and in my traditional form - I'll be 

e-e-e-e-extending the party through the next week!

A Little Mystery Is Good...

I haven't been sharing any current wedding quilt updates for a really good reason. Seems a certain bride-to-be (for whose wedding the quilt is being created) took a little stroll around these parts the day I posted the fabric I'll be using! How's that for not-so perfect timing?

Because I never know exactly when that sweet thing might visit again, anything else I share about the project will be obscure until right before, or after the big day.

I do want you to see that I've received the template set and book that I was waiting for from Marti Mitchell's website. Now that these treasures have arrived, I'll begin the cutting and creating. I'm so looking forward to making this one. I have high hopes that it will be gorgeous and that our friends, the groom and his bride, will be happy with the finished quilt.

I'll share more photos next week. Vague and mysterious, of course.

Tonight's the big night. I'll be closing the giveaway at 11 pm ET. I've noticed that we're so close to 700 followers/friends. If we hit 701 by this evening, I'll give away two of the gifts (two winners!).

Time For A Celebration Giveaway...

 I began writing my blog in March of 2009, and today marks my 1000th post! If anyone would have suggested that I would find such pleasure in my daily online "diary", I might have chuckled. Now, one thousand posts later, I can't imagine not keeping this web log!

I think one of the greatest gifts of this venture has been the people I've met along the way. My online friends, who in some cases I've been blessed to meet in person. People with whom I share my thoughts on a joyful and creative life. People who I have come to know and care for through their own blogs, or through their comments with me here. I'm grateful for all of you - and those words just never seem to carry enough import for how I really feel.
