Brynwood Needleworks - Runnin' Man |
Hi, Everybody!
I got here as fast as I could. Whew! I was waaaay up the hill at the farm, but don't worry. I'm almost as fast as Bella.
My post title today is "Keepin' It Short", but that has nothin' to do with my legs. (I know. Some of you were confused.) No. I only mean that there were extenuatin' circumstances that caused me to keep this post short and sweet. Mom had somethin' to do with that, and you'll understand in a minute.
Brynwood Needleworks - Bags o' Bulbs |
When we first got to the farm in September, Mom got three surprise boxes. It wasn't until she opened that last one that she saw a note tellin' her who the stuff was from. She got tulip, daffodil and Lily of the Valley bulbs from her Florida friend, Amy. Amy is from Wisconsin, too, so she and Mom just hit it off from the first time they met in Florida.
This box was Miss Amy's way of congratulatin' Mom and Dad on their farmhouse adventure, and she also said that Mom would think of her every spring when the flowers peeked out of the ground. Mom was pretty emotional about the whole thing, but then, she does have that tendency.
Brynwood Needleworks - Tag and Bella |
So, why, you ask, is my post short this week? Well, Mom decided that Bella and I should just lie in the grass behind her while she dug holes in the ground to plant all those bulbs. First, you can see just how excited we were about that.
But then, I said to Mom, "Hey, Mom! How 'bout I take a picture of my view of you while you're diggin' those holes?" Yup. That's the end of this post! (I guess Mom ran out of "sense of humor" about then!) Next time I'll just grab her phone and snap a pic, instead of politely askin' her first. What a spoiled sport! hee hee
I'll see you again in seven. 'til then...
"Chase A Dream - Or A Squirrel".

ReplyDeleteAmy gave you a truly sweet and thoughtful gift that will stay with you forever. Every Spring you will have beautiful blossoms to enjoy. Oops Tag you kept this post so short I thought it was one of Moms. I do like your idea of borrowing mom's phone to take HER picture. Oh Drat...no thumbs! Happy Hickory Hill Life...
