Shabby Project...

I'm going to start another class project today. I'm creating a
Shabby Tote to teach sewing and quilting techniques at Crazy Quilters.
I know I'll be using these fabrics and lace, but I haven't decided if I'll use
the little cardinal with it or another image. I'll make up my mind after I
start cutting and sewing. I have a tendency to "hoard" my sweet little pen
and ink drawings from Michelle Palmer. I know my students will want
them, but I'll have to send them to Michelle's Etsy shop, because I won't
want to part with my own private stash! I'm sure she won't mind a bit.

I'm looking forward to sewing up the tote(s) and creating the pattern
for my students today. I know it will be a fun class to teach, too.
I'll show you what it looks like later this week. Time to create!

  2. I will wait to see what you are going to make. I love Michelle's drawings. They are so amazing and to watch them come alive. Have a lot of fun stitching. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

  3. Do you ever rest? Maybe I have resting on my brain because I went to the orthopedist today and they took the splint off of my ankle and foot. It's been 17 days of no weight on my left leg. It's healing but they put it in a fiberglass cast that I can not put any weight on. So when I see him next it will have been over 5 weeks of resting on the sofa with my foot up. Not being able to do anything in the kitchen, and a lot of forced rest. If all goes well in the next three weeks I'll get a walking boot. Freedom.
