Miracles and Marriage...

I was driving on Highway 41 in Wisconsin today, when I saw a red-wing blackbird attempt to fly across two lanes of traffic. It tumbled under a truck which was in a line of at least five vehicles.
I held my breath as the bird moved like a plastic grocery bag in the wind. It rolled under the truck, flared up in the air after it cleared the truck's rear end, and as if lifted by the hand of God,
it moved up into the air - away from the vehicles and away from danger. It flapped its wings and flew away - untouched. A miracle right in front of my eyes, and I knew this day was blessed.
I'm here to attend my cousin's wedding.
His bride is a lovely young woman and we're pleased
and proud to welcome her into our family.
The service was perfect for them,
and the party was a ball.

Today was a very good day, indeed.

On the street where I live is a particular fence post, where I often see a Red Wing Blackbird sitting. I wonder if he has any idea how much that brightens my day. Thanks for the nice post, my best wishes to the happy couple.

I bet you were holding your breath watching that little bird navigate through traffic. We get a lot of enjoyment watching the birds that visit us daily. Every morning the Blue Jays and Cardinals come looking for their morning peanuts we put out front and the Orioles visit the back deck area for their morning breakfast of grape jelly.
Beautiful wedding dress from the back...I'm glad you enjoyed your day.

What a lovely story about the bird. I just love birds. Congratulations to the new bride and groom, too! (I'm a WI gal, too, but live in MD now.)

Oh gosh...you must have gotten one of those instant pounding headaches from that one! It always takes me a bit to recover after I witness something like that. Thank goodness that little birdie had the angels watching over him just then! What a beautiful photo Donna. Congrats to the lovely couple! xo Paulette

Hello Donna, thank you for sharing your wonderful work with us. I am a real fan, and you never fail to inspire me. As I live in the UK this may seem like a silly question, but please, please have you any idea where I can get some fabric similar to the one you use for hearts etc. (the white one) If you can help my e-mail is:

Thank you for your time. Blessings

Dearest Donna, those wedding gowns & attendants gowns are breathtakingly gorgeous!!! I can never say enough to you about the precious talent you have ... AWESOME! And, your Mum's wedding ... how moving.

It is a pleasure to see the beauty of your union, & the joy of love that radiates still within both of you.

I do remember the christening gown ... what a fabulous treasure for her to cherish & pass down to her children.

Golly, Donna ... you just take my breathe away with your blessed talents.

Have a lovely summer's eve ~
