Remember These?...

Remember these? I made them last spring and called them my "Matty Two-Zip Clutch". I added these cute squirrel/acorn pulls for the front pockets on this batch. They flew out the door once they were done.

I came across the photos in my phone "album" yesterday, so I'm going to make more in other colors this week. I'm also going to do a few other fabrics for my Nature Girl series, which will feature animals and birds.

I'll show them to you first, and will offer them on my Brynwood Facebook page after that. There will be direct links to purchase them through my secure Square account. I'll share the details once they're finished.

Also, I've decided not to do the West Bend show in September. With all that's been going on around here, I don't think I have the energy to ramp up for production for that show. I'll be gearing up for the one in Kewaskum in November instead. Just wanted to let the locals know ahead of time.

Making More Wallets...

BW "Bryn" Wallets - Nature Girl Series
I'm making a few more wallets for the show before turning my attention to handbags and overnighters. These are all-cork exteriors with field and woodland animals on the flaps. Featured are deer, rabbits, pheasants, and foxes. I love this print.

I have most of the wallet parts finished, but I still need to assemble the credit card sections. I'll do that this morning, and then I'll do the setting up for a few Nocturne overnight bags.

I'm trucking right along, friends. I'll keep my head down and maybe even finish the production part ahead of schedule. (laughing a little maniacly) Yeah, right.

Introductory Offer...

Brynwood Needleworks - Bella "Nature Girl" Totes

I completed the totes yesterday, and they'll be listed in my shop later this morning. These are cork and cotton fabric, with a zipper closure, one exterior pocket and two interior pockets. The tote measures a roomy 15" tall x 19" wide x 5" deep.

Perfect for your everyday bag, or as a project tote, you'll definitely want to get one while they're available at an introductory price. When these are gone, the price will increase for the next run. You can find them HERE later this morning.

Bella "Nature Girl" Totes...

Brynwood Bella Tote - "Nature Girl"- Feathers

I spent the day sewing yesterday. I cut and prepared fabrics to complete four totes. The cutting always takes longer for me that I expect. I wanted to complete at least one tote to show you, so I took this photo last night after I got it done. I'll be carrying this one myself. I love this feather fabric! There will be another to go into my shop tomorrow.

Brynwood Bella Tote - "Nature Girl"- Feathers - Back View

The front is the beautiful feather fabric, and the back is soft and supple natural cork fabric. Excluding the cotton feather-print fabric (stabilized to equal the weight of the cork fabric) and the lining, all of the bag is in cork.

Brynwood Bella Tote - "Nature Girl"- Feathers - Inside View

The interior of the tote is a butterscotch-colored dot fabric, which has also been "beefed up" with more stabilizer. There are two pockets inside, and one on the feather fabric on the front outside. I finished the bag with a zipper closure.

Brynwood Bella Tote - "Nature Girl"- Botanical Eggs

The other fabric I'm using is this botanical egg fabric. There will be two of these totes available. The interior is the same as the feather tote, and they also have a zipper closure.

I'll finish these bags today, and then take better photos to list them in my Etsy shop. I'm also working on my new online shop, so until that's complete, you'll still find my handmade items in the Etsy shop.

I'll close for now. I'm heading back to the studio just as soon as I finish my morning coffee. See you tomorrow.

Sewing Today...

Brynwood Needleworks - Nature Girl Fabrics For Bella Tote

I'm sewing today. I'm going to be making new Bella Totes for my "Nature Girl" line. I'm going to carry one with the feather fabrics, but will also make a second one in that look, as well as the beautiful bird eggs fabric, too. The dot fabric in the lower right corner will be the lining fabric.

Brynwood Needleworks - Bella Tote

In case you've forgotten, this is the Bella Tote style. It will be primarily cork fabric, but the section shown in Orchid Floral cork in the image above will be the feather or egg fabric with a heavy stabilizer backing to equal the weight of the cork.

When finished, I'll add them to my shop (minus mine, of course). I'll share photos of them with you tomorrow. Off to have a date with Jane (my semi-industrial Babylock). Time to play!

Done and Done...

Brynwood Kirby Crossbody Bags and "Abby" Custom Clutch

It was a busy day, but I finished two "Doxie" and one feather-print Kirby crossbody bags, as well as  the custom "Abby" Clutch. One Doxie and the clutch are packaged and will go out in today's post.

The other "Doxie" and the feather-print Kirby will be listed up in my shop today. While I made the bag with the feather print, I thought about how I'd like to start a special line of nature-themed fabrics.

This feather bag will be the first in my "Nature Girl" Series. They'll be limited edition and all have an outdoor/animal/bird/nature theme. Of course, they'll all have cork as their primary fabric, too.

I've got a few homekeeping things to do today, and then I'm taking our granddaughter to a special girls' night out concert this evening. We'll have dinner out with Grandpa (Handsome), but then just the three of us will go to a Milwaukee Symphony performance of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. They actually screen the movie while playing the sound track. We're all very excited about going!

The weekend will be dedicated to making Grammie's Jammies for our grandchildren. I won't be able to show pictures until after Christmas, though. Don't want to spoil any surprises, just in case nosey people check out my blog ahead of time!

I'm still fighting off this attempt at a cold, so I'll be medicated the rest of the day. I don't want to spread any bugs while I'm with our girls! I can't wait to tell you about the concert, and I will share what else I accomplish (except the jammies) with you on Monday. Happy Weekend, dears!
