This is my current Work In Progress (WIP). I'm making a Birthday cushion for a special little two year old - my great-nephew. His party is on Sunday, and I only just learned that he's a huge Mickey Mouse fan.
Knowing that, and owing him a cushion for his bedroom (as I did for his two sisters), this will be the perfect design for this sweet boy.
I'll be sure to share photos of him opening his gift - and if possible, catching his mama's expression, too. She really appreciates and treasures the handcrafted gifts her husband's aunty makes for their family.
I'll get this finished by early afternoon (first I'll press the embroidery - thank you, Destiny - and add a stabilizer to the back of it), and then I have another Birthday party to attend this evening for a dear classmate. It's going to be a busy couple of days, so I'm really glad to be 100% again! I'll share party photos on Monday. Off to the studio now...
What great project for your Great nephew.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better.

Awwwwww - what a fun gift this will be! I know he's going to love it. How lovely that his parents appreciate hand made gifts too and hopefully will instill that love into the next generation.
ReplyDeleteHi MA:
DeleteHis parents are always so appreciative. I loved seeing all their family again today.

Sherry of createology: This is such a special gift. I am so happy the parents appreciate handmade things. Emmet will be so happy with his very own Mickey and Minnie Mouse pillow.
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry:
DeleteThanks, dear. He was already cuddling it. Makes this aunty's heart swell.

This is beautiful and so special.
ReplyDeleteAnd so nice to know that mama really appreciates these gifts also.
Good to hear you are 100% again, let's keep it that way.

Hi Shirley:
DeleteThanks, dear. They sure do appreciate my gifts. Their middle child's birthday is in three short weeks. I'd better get busy on her gift!
I'm over being under the weather for 2025. Enough of that, for sure!
