I wasn't doing anything silly (like lifting something heavy), but my back went into crazy spasms on Friday. By Sunday, I couldn't take it anymore, so Handsome took me to the ER where I got a couple of injections and an Rx to relax my muscles.
I guess I should send a thank you note to my father to let him know how much I appreciate inheriting his back issues. Oh, yeah. I can't tell you how much I like having three days of back spasms. NOT!
Needless to say, I didn't spend any time at all in the studio, but I did manage to do a little more organizing of my embroidery designs so I'll be ready to start working on my Christmas gifts (hopefully) very soon!
If you have a spare prayer or good wish for healing you can send my way, I'd sure be grateful. I'll be back on Wednesday, and am planning to have something fun to share. No one really wants to read about stuff like this - and I certainly don't like not having something creative to share!
Good thing Tag is here to write his Tuesday post. He was working on it over the weekend, and I think you'll enjoy it.
Hi Donna, I'm so sorry your back is giving you problems. I know how painful it can be. Be sure not to make sudden moves (ouch!!!) Tell Tag he must look after you for change. Sending healing, peaceful thoughts your way. Blessings
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your back problems. I do hope this settles down very quickly for you. Not pleasant.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
Mandy.
Backs are very specific in their pain modes. Your spasms are what I was having last week that put me in bed. I have lots of healing energy to share with you and will put prayers forth for your back to feel better. Back pain sucks all the life and energy right out of us. I have twenty years experience including major back surgery. Please take it very careful and get better. Love and Healing Energy Dear Friend...
ReplyDeleteSending love and prayers your way, sweet Donna. Twyla
ReplyDeleteHi Donna, I can relate to back pain. I am sending prayers that yours will be healed soon. Just the real cold weather can make mine hurt. We had some snow, but the frigid cold has started to move through. I loved the strawberries that you made. Take care Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.
ReplyDeleteBeen there, done that! Rest, rest, rest! Kisses from Quinn!
ReplyDeleteI surely hope you're feeling better soon; back problems are horrible!
ReplyDeleteOh you really do have my sympathy. Bad backs are very painful. My Mum has four slipped discs and I grew up watching how much pain she was in. Take the medication, move but nothing over the top and above all keep your back warm as this should help the muscles. (Advice given to me which seems to work a little) It works with my hip and makes it bearable until it starts to improve. I use muscle heat pads during the day when is it bad and a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel when I first go to bed.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
xx
As one who has back pain and who has had surgery, I can only say that everyone is different and to take care. Don't lift, twist for awhile. Baby yourself! I'm sending gentle hugs and some white, healing light.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your back problems. I have had issues on and off in the past and it is no fun. I am sending hugs and good wishes your way.
