Embellished With Ribbons and Beads...

I'm being a little sneaky with my title today.
You'll see why when you've read to the end of my post.

These are some of the Hearts' Desire hearts I have created and
given away as gifts. I'm making new ones now, and I'll have
them listed for sale in the Boutique within the next day or so.
I've decided my favorite look is the stitched silk ribbon design
(the blue one in the mosaic-and the lilac one, above),
closely followed by the silk ribbon roses and
embellishments (the one in the upper left photo).

If you leave a comment here today, I'll make one for one lucky
friend. I'll draw a name of one person at midnight tonight and
I'll let you know who the winner is in tomorrow's post.

All you have to do to be entered is leave a comment today.
I'm doing this just for my regular blog friends, so no need
to spread the word, unless it's to send a message to one
of my regular readers who might be a pal of yours, too.

When you leave your comment, I'd love to know
which design speaks to you, and your favorite color.
It will help me design your Hearts' Desire if your name is drawn.
Good luck!

  1. Donna I love everything you hand create. Your talents are amazing. My favorite color is blue...just in case my name comes to the top. Your work always inspires me and reminds me so of my wonderful Grandma who did all hand crafts. Happy creating...

  2. All of your work is so amazing. I think it is because it is done with so much love. I think the sweet ribbon flowers are delicate and beautiful. My favorite colors are pink and blue. You are so sweet to bless one of your followers with this gift. Thank you for the chance.

  3. I am just amazed at your never ending creativeness! Everything you touch is divine!
How can a person choose a favorite?! They look like they take absolute hours to make! I have been wanting to learn how to do ribbon embroidery and was so enchanted by these when you showed them in a previous post! And now an opportunity to win one!! I love either the purple one in the last photo ( looks like little violets ) or the blue Forget-me-knots. Did I mention I think they are beautiful?! :~P

Neils been on the computer all evening. I have one to but it needs to go be debugged. Your hearts are beautiful just like you. Good luck to all the girls who made it in time.

  17. Hi Donna,

Thank you so much for this opportunity. The little pillows are so sweet, and the rose one calls to me as I've had a love affair with roses for many years. I love the look of tone on tone, or pink, or soft yellow. I'd be honored if I'm picked, but I'll truly be happy for anyone who wins, as this is a major gift.

    Hugs,
    Meri

  30. Hi Donna,
These are really beautiful, and so timely for me! I've really been itching to try ribbon embroidery! But more than that, the night before last I made a small heart pillow for my little niece. It's actually a Tooth Fairy pillow with a little pocket on the front to tuck under her bed pillow. She's 5 years old, and has her first wiggly tooth, which so exciting for the little ones! Anyway, I'm really having a hard time with the finishing. Once it's turned inside out and stuffed, how do you finish it up? It seems so simple, and I really feel like a dork for not understanding this better. I've tried the slip stitch time and time again, and it looks terrible, there must be something I'm missing. Now I have this cute little pillow with a big "scar" running down the side where I closed it up. I'm going to have to redo it, I'm not happy with it at all. Ugh. I think I need more sewing lessons. Any hints you can give with regard to finishing up a pillow?

In the meantime, my fingers are crossed to win one of your little beauties!

    Have a great day!
