I've Been Remiss...

I received this beautiful award from Sharon Chapman at Wildflowerhouse a little while ago, and have been remiss in posting about it.

Sharon has a beautiful blog and was so generous in naming Brynwood to receive the award from her. She creates the most beautiful needlework and jewelry, so please be sure to stop in and explore her corner of Blogland.

The criteria for this award is that the blogger is one who "spreads a little sunshine" through their blog. That being a goal of mine, I'm honored that she chose me.

I'm to choose six other blogs to receive the award, so today, I share these bloggers with you. Please visit their sites, and I'm sure you'll agree, they are all worthy recipients. (If I tag a "No Award Zone" blogger, please know that I still think you deserve the award and hope my followers will stop in and visit you.) You can just click on their blog titles to go to their sites.
  1. Just Between Me and You - Nothing like having an alter ego to help you write your blog, but that's what you'll find when you visit Maggie's place. You never know if you'll find her or Miss Pearl out on the Back 40. Maggie also generously introduces you to other bloggers through her weekly "blogazine". (I was even featured one week! Thanks again, Maggs!)
  2. Of Lemons and Honey - I first met Renee' when I read one of her comments on another blog. What she wrote made me laugh out loud, so I had to go learn more about her. I like her style, and I think you will, too.
  3. Starshine Chic - I love stopping in to visit Kim. Head over to Starshine Chic if you want to get your style on! Kim loves dishes (who doesn't??) and has a real knack for decorating.
  4. My Vintage Studio - Sharon has a beautiful blog. She shares images, ideas and a love of everything well...vintage (surprised, aren't you?) Oh, and she has some pretty cute little dogs, too!
  5. iCandy - Christina always has a project on her drawing board. You'll always enjoy seeing what she's working on next. (Be sure to explore until you see her Seat Belt. It's the cleverest thing I've seen lately!)
  6. Beedeebabee - Paulette is one of those talented people you love to know. She and I have become friends, and I am always in awe of her creativity. Once you visit her, I know you'll go back again and again. Oh, and wait until you see her needlework! Gasp. Just. Gasp!
Thank you, Sharon, for my blog award. I really appreciate that you gave it to me, and that I got the excuse to pass it on to a few of my favorites!
My goal is to finish the wedding gown today (except for hemming, which will wait until the bride puts it on for the first time!). Thanks so much to everyone who left a comment about the silk roses. Just that part of the gown took about five hours to create, and I enjoyed every. single. second of it! I'll have more photos to share with you tomorrow.

  6. Donna,
You certainly deserve the award, I just love coming here. Not only are you a very positive blogger, but amazingly talented. Let's just talk about the wedding dress. OMG, Donna, watching you create it before our eyes has been an inspiration. I can't even manage to get a little pillow done. And what's it been, a week since you started?! LOL I can't wait to see the end result, will we get to see the lovely bride? I got my teacup pin cushion today! Oh Donna, it's lovely, I'm so happy I can toss the old dirty walmart one I've had forever. Lisa

  7. Hi My Friend, I am doing my catchup tonight on reading blogs. It really makes me wonder what your next blog will be about when I see your thumbprint. You are a couple hours ahead of us time wise. Would you believe we are 45 degrees and suppose to drop down to 32 tonight. I am loving watching you make the wedding dress. It brings back special memories of watching my friend make the attendant's dresses and helping plan the wedding. Take care. Your Missouri Friend.
