I Did This Yesterday...

Brynwood Shop Hop Crossbody Bag - Purple Cork/Birds

I was contacted by a client on Tuesday evening asking if/when I'd be listing up this specific cork color and bird print Shop Hop bag again. I told her I was happy to add one to my inventory so she could order it.

I added two to my inventory Tuesday, and made them today. One is already on its way to my client, and the other is in my shop - available for purchase. I was glad to sew up two cork bags, and will be creating and listing new items in the next one to two weeks. Yesterday was a good sewing day.

January DeClutter Goal Reached...

January Accomplished!

Goal: 22 Items • Actual: 53 Items

Last year, I pulled a number of bolts of fabric that were coming out of my studio - one way or the other. They were first previewed by a friend for trade and/or donations. These were bolts that weren't chosen.

My second option was to list them for sale, but after stumbling over them in my fabric studio for nearly three months, I decided to give them to another worthy cause. My younger sister has taken to quilting! Just before Thanksgiving, she came to visit me so that I could give her some pointers. She ended up creating seven beautiful quilts for her grandchildren. Now she has the "bug", and I want to help fuel her new interest.

Before she left the farmhouse yesterday, we loaded 45 bolts of fabric into the back of her vehicle. She was thrilled to have all that fabric, and she said her head was just swimming with ideas for new creations...from napkins to quilts. She couldn't have been more grateful, and I was happy to regain the floor space.

I also pulled a few items from my closet (with more planned for February), and some duplicate kitchen tools are now in a donation box that I'll add to until the box is full. Then, I'll be taking that to St. Vincent de Paul to benefit others.

I'm feeling pretty good about now. My fabric studio is pure chaos, so I'm going to continue pulling fabrics for preview, sale, and donation. I'm going to pull notions, as well. I think February is going to be busy, but I'm excited to think about how fabulous my creative spaces will be once this is done.

Tuesdays With Tag - A Day With Aunt Di...

I Love Cuddling Aunt Di

 Hi, Everybody!

I had a great day visitin' with Mom's sister. She actually came out to see Mom, but you know me. That's just an opportunity for me to schmooz. I love the ladies - young and old mature. Little kids love me. Older kids adore me. For me it's a win/win!

She didn't bring her grandgirls this trip. They were in school learnin' important things, but I was so happy to see her. Carly, on the other paw, barked at her whenever she walked in the room. Startled the wheee out of her (Aunt Di) each time! Then, Mom would chastise the kid, who'd clam up toot sweet.

The good news is that, by the end of Aunt Di's visit, Carly came up to her for a cuddle, too. No barkin', no skittish, just friendly. Carly can't help herself. She hangs out with us most of the time, and even though she goes out with Dad, she doesn't socialize outside our pack enough. We need to do somethin' about that. I think we'll take her out in public a lot more this spring and summer.

So anyway, we had a great day together, and Mom and Aunt Di did have a wonderful visit. Mom says the visits are never long enough, but she's plannin' to go back to Minnesota to see Aunty again pretty soon. It would be nice if I could go along, but I'm not holdin' my breath. I'm usually stuck here with all these girls and Dad. I'm gonna keep my paws crossed though, just in case.

Happy February, too!

I'll see you again in seven. 'til then...

"Been There, Chewed That!"
