Beginner Goldwork Kits From The Crafty Heart...

I admit when I saw this kit priced as a BOGO deal on Facebook, I was a little leery about whether or not it was a real deal. So, I did a little digging and found that The Crafty Heart has an online shop and they appeared legit, so I took a chance.

I know it's a beginner's goldwork kit, but just to get the class supplies for one kit was worth the $29.99 price tag. Two for that price was even more reasonable.

The only thing I didn't see was that it was a direct ship from China, even though the shop is in the US. The company said they ship in one to three days, and they kept their word. I received shipping information with a tracking number and could follow the package from ship point to destination, with all the steps in between.

The kits arrived yesterday, and they're everything they advertised they were. Two kits, each containing a printed fabric, a cutting/framing template, a sturdy hoop, all goldwork materials, and a card with a QR code to get directions.

I'm very happy with my purchase, and if anyone would like a kit of their own - or one of the other kits they offer - you can click HERE to check out their offerings. As usual, I'm in no way compensated for this review.

Doctor's appointment went well. I have two tests to confirm what the doctor suspects - that I tore my meniscus in the knee, with the added bonus of some nerve damage. We'll know for sure when I see him (post tests) on the 10th. Until then, I have a course of prednisone that he hopes will offer some pain relief. Fingers crossed.

  1. That's a great deal that you found.
Oh no, positive thoughts on your tests.
I go back on the 8th.

    1. Hi Marilyn:
The goldwork supplies alone were worth the price, but to get the two-fer deal was extra bonus! I'll update you on my test results. Please do the same about yours. Hope all goes well and you get good news.

  2. The RC had two torn meniscus's (meniscusi?), one on each side of his knee. The repair was fast and relatively painless. He used a cane for a couple weeks for additional support so you might want to be sure to have one available.
Looks like a great deal on the goldwork kits!

    1. Hi MA:
Hoping that this isn't a big deal for me either. I'm a little tired of walking like a penguin! It was a great deal on the kits. More supplies for play days. lol Have a great day!

  3. Sherryofcreateology: Prednisone should give you some relief. Hubby has had both knees (several years apart) repaired. Just trust in your doctor and all will be well. You got a great deal and good that you did the investigation on the company. I have stupidly lost a few $29.99 offers by never receiving the goods. Never again for me. Creative Bliss…

    1. Hi Sherry:
I can tell you, the prednisone is sure making me buzz around like a busy bee! lol I'm taking this one step at a time. We'll make decisions once we know what we're dealing with. I really dislike the ads on FB and IG. I got burned once, too, so I'm extra cautious if I see something I like. This worked out great, and I can recommend the site. I completely understand you steering clear. Hugs.

  4. I have watched something shipped from China too. Slowly, through the whole world, it plodded along and arrived safely. Small world!

    1. Hi Sandi:
Those slow boats eventually reach shore. I've even been leering about ordering off Etsy from foreign countries, but so far they've all worked out. Indeed, a small world.

  5. That is an interesting kit...and quite fun getting a good deal! My husband had a torn meniscus...a quick surgery cleaned it up, and all went well. Does nerve damage like that heal over time? We will certainly hope so!

    1. Hi:
I don't know about what to expect relative to the nerve. I'm having that test on Friday to see if it's part of the issue. Keeping my fingers crossed that I didn't injure that, too. We'll see.
