Marie shared her completed needle felted project from our Craft Day last weekend. Isn't this wee mouse adorable? It reminds me of Feivel from the movie. I think it's the cutest thing ever, and I told Marie I think she's a natural at this.
I think it may be a while before we see Adrienne's projects. It seems her cats were extremely interested in them and there may have been needle felted massacres. She said she is still unable to find parts for one of them. Yikes!
I know Claudette was awfully intrigued with my fox. I showed it to her when I saw her staring at it, but not soon after, I placed it high on a wall-hung shelf where she can't access it.
I'll see if I can get photos of George's projects, and will wait for those from the other ladies who attended. I really loved this project, and will likely do another soon from the kits and wools I have, but you well-know that I have a few other projects to complete first.
I'm heading to an appointment this morning with an orthopedic doc to see just what I may have done to my leg when I got tangled up in the dog bed six weeks ago. It still hurts like the dickens, so I need a diagnosis and hopefully, relief.
When we get back home, I'm going in to work for my boss. She went to urgent care over the weekend and was diagnosed with sinus and lung infections. She would usually work a double shift on Mondays, but I told her I'd work the 10-4 shift and she should go home and rest. We came to an agreement, so even though I don't think she should work the first shift, at least I got her to go home for second shift.
We'll see what I can accomplish once I get home. I'd like to have some "play time" if I'm up for it. I'll let you know tomorrow.
Oh, my, your poor boss! Please take care so you don't end up ill, too. A bum knee is enough. I love the mouse...he's straight out of a storybook! Years ago I made little wool snowmen Christmas ornaments for my boys, and don't you know our one cat would snag them off the tree no matter how high I hung them!! Whenever I heard excessive frivolity in the house I knew the blessed cat was batting a snowman all around 🤨. Sometimes she'd even have the nerve to bring it to me, meowing loudly all the way, all covered in hair and cat slobber. 🙄 I hope the doc has answers for your knee and that it's a simple fix!
ReplyDeleteHi Lois:
DeleteI can just see that cat so proud to bring you her prize! They are something, aren't they? My boss is looking and feeling 100% better now that she's on the right meds. We're still making her rest to get her back to her old self. Doctor thinks I have a torn meniscus. Tests soon to confirm, and then to decide whether or not I need an arthroscopic surgery. Oh, joy!

That Mousie is sooooo cute!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your appointment, I hope it's nothing serious.
Marilyn
Hi Marilyn:
DeleteDon't you just love the little thing!? I sure do. Doctor thinks I have a tear and a little nerve damage. Tests Friday and on the 10th, and then we'll know for sure. Decisions after that. ugh And the dogs STILL won't use the new bed. I'm telling you, after all this, I may end up sleeping on it! lol

Sherryofcreateology: Good Luck with your Ortho appointment. Prayers for Healing. I love Marie’s Mouse! Please don’t overdo with working. We just had a favorite restaurant close because of staffing and economy. So sad! Praying for better times for America.
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry:
DeleteIt went well today. I really like the new doctor. Thank you, dear. Isn't her mouse adorable? I'm helping with training a new employee yesterday and today, so I get to sit more than usual, which is a plus. Seems everyone is having trouble getting employees. It's the real pandemic!
I agree. I believe they're coming.

awwww - another cutie!
ReplyDeleteHope your appointment doesn't show anything serious wrong with your knee and do your best to stay away from the germs at work. So much 'grunge' going around it seems.
Hi MA:
DeleteIsn't it adorable? I had a good appointment. Doctor suspects a miniscus tear and nerve damage. Tests in the next ten days will give the real picture. Keeping my fingers crossed that I won't need surgery, but that I do get relief. Between the "grunge", and her being overworked, it's taken its toll. I'm glad I'm taking my preventatives!

This wee mouse is just darling. This felting looks like it could be addictive.
ReplyDeleteNo matter how much that wool gets washed, it's sheep and those super feline sniffers know it.
No, no, no. No more rabbit holes for me.
I hope it is a simple solution at your Ortho appointment.
Before I retired I had an 'Annual Sinus Infection', it was like clock work, I could
count on it every year. It was not fun.
Shirley
Hi Shirley:
DeleteI know!! squeeee. I agree that it's really addictive. It's kind of zen working on the pieces. You're right about those cat noses, too. I watch them when they get a whiff of something. HA! But, you'd enjoy it! lol I'm hoping for something simple, too, but if it's what the doctor thinks, I may have a repair surgery in my future. Just what I don't need. I hope you don't get the annual sinus infections any more. It's a hard pass for me.
xoxo
