When I typed out my first post on March 15, 2009, I never in a million years thought that 1) I'd have a single person interested in anything I might have to say, and 2) that I'd still be at it SIXTEEN years later!
What I've found is a loving blog family, built through all these years of sharing my thoughts with you, and you leaving daily comments for me, too. I admit there have been days when I've seriously contemplated shutting this all down and fading off into the sunset. You've all been so kind to me, and encouraged me to keep doing what I'm doing, so here I am.
Well, I can tell you today that I still have a thing or two to say, and I'm still happy to share my creative endeavors with you. While that remains the case, you can count on me to continue to write my daily posts.
So to celebrate, beginning Monday, March 15th and ending Friday, March 21st, I'm going to post a giveaway each day. If you like what you see on a given day, simply leave a comment on that blog post to be entered into the drawing for the item(s) in that day's post. You can enter once per post, but you can enter every day. Comments on this post will not count toward drawings that start on March 17th.
These are not "domestic only" drawings either. It doesn't matter where you live, but if there are tariffs or taxes due, the winner will be responsible to pay those.
Come back on Monday and I'll reveal the first giveaway item. I'll reiterate the terms each time, so I hope you don't get bored with that. If I don't already have your address, winners will need to get them to me. If I don't receive an acknowledgement from the winners within two days after the winners' announcement, or I'll choose another person in their place.
I'll choose winners on Sunday, March 23rd - after the drawings close - and then announce all the winners on Monday, March 24th. PLEASE be sure to come back on Monday, the 24th to see if you've won.
I sure hope you're as excited as I am! See you Monday for DAY ONE!!!

Hi dear Marilyn:
DeleteWe've probably been friends here much longer because of Stitches! I'm so glad you found me here, and that we can have our daily chats. Your messages brighten my day, too. I'm so grateful that you stop by.

Yay! How fun! I try to read every day but some days get away from me. I will need to change this for next week. I love your handwork but I also love your daily life stories including all the girls and animals. I have even shared some of your blogs with friends. Life isn’t for wimps and I’m so glad to hear that my world turning too fast for me at times also happens to others. Whether you share it, or someone else commenting on your post. Thank you! Happy Sweet 16! Bobbi
ReplyDeleteDear Bobbi:
DeleteThank you so much for saying so, dear girl. I love hearing from you when you visit, as well. I appreciate that you take time to visit when you're able, and I always look forward to hearing from you. I'll keep trying to make my posts entertaining, joyful, and informative. Big hugs!
xoxo

Congratulations on 16 years of blogging! I started March 20, 2006 so I've been at it a little longer. I used to write 6 days a week (took Sundays off) but now it's shaken down into three days which seems to be a comfortable level for me. I know it's a commitment and, like you, I first started just for my own record of things I made and perhaps to let our boys in on what Mom was doing. I, too, was surprised when I started getting readers and, even better, commentors. I would seriously miss my blog if I were to give it up so I can't see it happening anytime soon.
ReplyDeleteHi MA:
DeleteYou've been at it a long time, too! I thought about cutting down on my dailies to a few times a week, but I actually miss when I don't post...and I frequently get messages asking if I'm okay on the rare occasion that something prevents me from checking in...like my memory. lol It's interesting that now, people blog to make money. I never liked reading monetized blogs because of all the adverts and pop-ups, so I avoided doing that. Imagine if I had. I might have a whole $100 by now. lol You and I will just keep on doing what we're doing for the sheer joy of it. I would miss it, too, dear.
Much love,
xoxo

ReplyDeleteDear Charlene:
DeleteSo glad you've been on this ride with me. I value your friendship in equal measure, my friend. I'll try to be worthy of your precious time.
Big Wisconsin Hugs,

Wow! Sixteen years. I think that is almost unheard of, especially daily.
ReplyDeleteYour content is such a wonderful mix. We never know
what the next post will bring, but we know it will be a good one.
I do look forward to it everyday.
Shirley
Hi Dear Shirley:
DeleteSometimes I have to pinch myself. I have a hard time believing it's been sixteen years, too. All the life that I've chronicled in that time. whew! I'll keep trying to make my posts interesting and worth people's time. If I ever feel I'm posting into a black hole, then I'll know it's time to quit. So far, all the wonderful comments I get in response to my stories really keeps me going. Thanks for always being one of those voices.
Love you!
xoxo

Hope to someday sit and chat over a cuppa or a meal. It really could happen, you know! We live closer than most. Thanks again!
Hugs,
