Meet Ursa...

It snowed two days ago and was downright cold until late last night. The wind is still blowing, but the air is warmer. Perhaps we'll have a nice weekend (or not), but I wanted to share my latest spoolie with you. I've come to enjoy quietly sitting with my supplies after dinner, just so I can create something cute from Handsome's or my ideas.

Last night, I created a polar bear because Handsome loves bears. I figured a polar bear would be appropriate for this goofy weather. When I completed "Ursa", Handsome suggested I add a tiny bottle of coke or a seal (think Coca Cola ads), so I added a pet for Ursa...a little seal to keep him company.

I handed this pair to Handsome once completed and he allowed as how each new one brings out a smile on his face. I really like that, so I'll likely continue my evening pastime of creating little spool animals. Which animal do you think I should make next?

  2. Another awwwww moment! So cute. Perhaps you can find a wee Coke bottle somewhere to add later on. How about a deer or a moose?

  4. I agree with the above comments. They are all So Stinkin’ Cute! Does it really only take you one evening???? I bet there is a dollhouse Coke bottle in your future, even if it is just near these two. My youngest son likes Polar Bears too. The oldest likes penguins, when choosing ‘winter’ animals. I love the moose idea. I love moose!!! 🫎 How about an opossum or raccoon? Both used to be abundant in our yard. We have relocated a number of turtles and armadillos as well. Your evenings can be full for years! Love ya, Bobbi

Thanks so much, dear. I'm on the hunt for a little coke bottle. I'll add penguins to the list. I did an opossum, but also like the raccoon idea. Your ideas are so much fun! Stay tuned. I'm going to be busy!

  6. Sherryofcreateology: Ursa and her little Seal are so adorable. With so many great suggestions you will have a very complete Zoo of Spoolies! I have not seen Kangaroo on the list. And my personal Zoo favorite is the Cheetah. Oh and how about a monkey or baboon? You asked! Hahaha…

  7. Ursa is so cute, and oh my, the seal, we all need a buddy.
Handsome would love my resident black bear Yogi.
The neighbors see him and run for the hills.
He's very smart, well are creatures are very smart, that's a given.
If I say 'Yogi, no' he will sit, after he is told no three time (batter out) , he gets up turns around and goes the other way.
Looking forward to the next spoolie.

    1. Hi Shirley:
I LOVE Yogi and don't even know him!!! Handsome would, too. New spoolie reveal on Monday. I'm kinda glad we don't live closer to each other. I have a feeling we'd spend a lot of time together, and maybe even get up to some shenanigans. lol
