Hello, It's Me...

Our cell phone contract ended about two years ago, but we've been holding off on a new contract hoping that our provider would offer Apple's iPhone™. Finally, in January, the iPhone came to our provider.

My Blackberry™ has been giving me a lot of grief lately, and Handsome has disliked his phone for a while. We figured now was as good a time as any to make a few decisions...whether or not to just get new phones and basic service, or upgrade our smart phones.
We decided to upgrade to iPhones™. Mine is a white 16GB iPhone 4, and Handsome got a black one. Of course we had to get silicone covers (mine is ocean blue) to protect them, along with a car charger and a handy little stylus for each of us. I can also use mine with my iPad.

I really like the way it feels and we're already fluent in Apple's user-friendly technology. I'll sync it up with my calendar, contacts and a few photographs tomorrow. Call me a "techi". It's ok with me. I can't wait to make a bona fide phone call with it!
A quick reminder...
Monday is Memory Lane Monday, however, because it's a holiday and many of you will be taking the day off, I'm going to keep the link open for a whole week. That way, you'll be able to participate any time between Monday, May 30th and Monday, June 6th. Hope you're thinking of a personal memory to share with us! My post will go up on Sunday evening so you can link up any time after that.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

PS. Hey, Shell. I thought you'd like a new tune to hum today! lol

  1. I got an iphone 4 in March and love it. It is the first Mac product I have owed and don't know how I lived without it, much better than my Blackberry.

  2. You are a techie for sure! When I tried to get a new cell phone that didn't have a camera they thought I was daft!
I love my Mac though and am hoping to get an iPad BEFORE our next holiday - this thing is just too heavy to lug around!!
Have fun with it Donna - you'll be "plugged in" where ever the road takes you this summer!

  3. Hi Donna,
I just got a phone like yours too. This week I ended up putting my inventory of overdyed floss on it to help me when I maybe at a needlework store buying charts. what an amazing tool.
I am sure that you will find all kinds of ways to use it.

    Have a great weekend!

I had to give mine up! No coverage in Maine! I'm loving the Droid though.

  7. Good for you ! I may relent myself, but that means tossing some stuff OUT of my brain to put the new stuff in. Sometimes it's important stuff that goes out so you see why I've been a bit reluctant LOL.

  10. Someday I hope to become Apple Savvy and have an iPhone and an iPad and iPod and whatever else I do not have. There is something about staying current that helps us not feel left out and super old. I am afraid I am becoming a dinosaur...Oh No! Love your blue cover and I know you will use it to the fullest. Happy Safe Memorial Weekend...

  12. Hope you are having tons of fun with your new phone! My hubby upgraded to the Iphone, as well. He used to have one through his previous employer - but they cancelled the account. He really loves it! Enjoy!
