Celebrating Achievement...

I almost finished the shawl last night. I say almost because I still have to sew the teardrop beads onto the point of each diamond in order to call it completely finished. I still had two rows of beads to knit in after I left Books a Million, so I didn't ask Ellen to model it for you. As soon as I sew those teardrops on, I'll give her a buzz and head over to her house with my camera. Then you'll see it as it's supposed to look and not flat on my worktable.

I'm anxious to know what you think about it, but I'm happy to wait for your feedback until you see Ellen model it. I can tell you that I really like knitting with ribbon yarn, but admit that sliding beads onto the yarn, and then down the line as I knit this piece was pretty "labor intensive". I love making the beaded scarves, but I think the beaded shawl is a once-in-a-lifetime project for me. You know, "Been there, done that" sort of project.

Speaking of once-in-a-lifetime...
Today is my 300th post!!! Check back tomorrow and I'll unveil my giveaway(s). I'm tickled to be able to share this celebration with two hundred fifty followers! You are all so wonderful to me, and I look forward to your comments every day. I hope you're looking forward to yet another Brynwood giveaway.

So, today, I'm going to celebrate two achievements. Conquering the beaded shawl, and my milestone 300th post. Care to join me in a little happy dance?
