Fabrics waiting on bolts and rolls...
arranged on shelves next to ribbons and trims...
nearly finished projects awaiting final borders.
A Summertime quilt pattern waiting to be written...
So many ideas swimming around in my head...
a competition piece due next month;
a quilt-along in need of a start date;
Christmas projects that can't wait until the last minute;
special things for special people.
So many bloggers lament a writer's block or
hitting a creative wall.
Not me. I've got so much going through my mind,
my only problem is that I just don't know where to start.
I think Taggart has a great idea -
just lie down for a while and expose myself to all the possibilities.
Wait for an "aha!" moment.
For all of you who were interested in the Farmer's Wife Quilt-along
I have a question. I'm going to post a poll at the top of my right sidebar.
Please vote and help me make a decision.
I'll close the poll on Sunday night.
Thank for helping me out.
I'm going to try to clear the log-jam and accomplish something today.
I'll be back tomorrow to let you know how I fared.
One more important thing...Happy Birthday, #1 Son!

ReplyDeleteDonna, you already know how I feel about your studio. It's to-die-for, honestly. That is just one reason why you are so inspired, you are majorly talented, Donna.
ReplyDeleteWhat is Tag so pooped from, going over your to-do list?
Warm Regards,
Susan
Ah honey you know I love your studio and I can just see you sitting there with all the beautiful creative thoughts just running wild through you.
ReplyDeleteI will try to help you by casting my vote but I know you will make the right decision that is best for you

I love looking at your studio and so wish I could join you in it. I've voted and it was an easy choice for me. I'm like you with a gazillion things in the to do list and am quite determined to make this quilt. Just have to get a few other things out of the way first.
ReplyDeleteYour studio is fabulous! I love Tag's idea of "not rushing into anything!"

ReplyDeleteHi Donna,
ReplyDeleteYour studio is amazing! It's so organized and filled with dreamy, wonderful fabrics and stuff. No wonder you are so good at what you do.

I'd get a lot more done if I didn't take Tag's lead! ~lol~
ReplyDeleteDonna, I just love your studio room. I especially loved looking into the white cupboard. I think those little hooks you have on the door is a really neat idea....might have to do that myself!!
ReplyDeleteSuch an inspiring and beautiful space...your studio. How wonderful to have so many ideas and projects and supplies to create with, however too many do get a little overwhelming. I like Tag's approach...relax and let it all sort out later. As for the vote...I am not much help as I don't quilt. Wonderful Wednesday of Wisdom to you dear...
ReplyDeleteLove your studio!
ReplyDeletePlease come do that in my sewing room! Follow Tag...a puppy knows best in these cases. ; )

Donna, you have the most beautiful studio! I wish I were a quilter, I'd follow along with your farmer's wife quilt along. I know what you mean, I have so many crafts I want to create and work on every day, I sometimes don't know where to start! Hope you are having a great day! Twyla
ReplyDeleteDear Donna - your studio is beautiful and a reflection of you. You mustn't feel pressured for any of your creative pursuits. ever.
ReplyDeleteRemember the adage that says if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life? Be happy and make what you want, when you want. Think of Snoopy dancing with his nose in the air! Toni
