Needle Dancing...

Whispering Windmills is finished and will be on its way to Charlene today. This design is one of my personal favorites. I have one tablecloth quilt in the windmill (pinwheel) pattern, with plans to make a queen size for my sister for Christmas this year.
When Handsome saw this lap quilt complete, he told me he really loved the color choices. When I told him it was one of my giveaway quilts, he said that he thought someone was really lucky to have won it.I've enjoyed every second of making the two giveaway quilts - this one for Charlene, and the other for Twyla. Choosing the fabrics, planning the designs, sewing the pieces together, and the needle dancing to quilt them together.
Thanks again to all my beautiful friends who were the inspiration behind these quilts. The celebration of 500 conversations with you, and then 500 of you who choose to follow my musings. I really wish that I could have created something special for each of you!

Off to the post office to mail out packages today, and then I think I'll spend the rest of the day tidying up the studio, catching up on a little housework and playing with the dogs. I hope your day is filled with whatever makes you happy, spent doing something you love.
