I know that I had such grandiose plans for the weekend. I was going to be sewing my fingers to the bone, working on the quilt-with-a-deadline. Instead, I did a little housework on Saturday and then read for the rest of the day.
Sunday was spent doing a little yard work with Handsome, bathing the dogs, swimming in the Holidome (Fezzik jumped in all on his own FOUR times to swam with us!), and then watching football games. Sunday was a real day of rest.
We live in a rural neighborhood and all the kids either go to neighborhood parties or to the Community Center dressed as princesses, goblins or other characters, so we only had two trick-or-treaters for Halloween this year.
"Trick or treat, smell my feet,
gimme something good to eat."
"It's just us, Mom. Let us in!!!"
"Did we scare you, Mom?
I bet we scared you!"
"No, Fezzik."
"Not even a little bit, Mom?"
"No, Fezzik. Not even a little bit."

The photo is Kes from about 9 years ago. She decided she wanted to be a witch for Halloween. She was a really good witch, too!
Before I forget...Handsome asked me to request a favor of my blog friends. If you're on Facebook, please visit "North Port Orchestra". We'd love it if you'd "like" them, too. They just joined Facebook and we'd love to get some friends and activity on their page! Thanks a million!
I'll be back in the studio today, and I promise I'll share new photos of my current project tomorrow. I hope you all have a beautiful and creative week, my friends. See you tomorrow!
Wow! Fezzik is growing so quick!
ReplyDeleteYour post made me laugh,,,the dogs are just too wonderful...we didn't get the trickortreaters either..only 2 knocks..now, what to do with all that candy??

Love the new header! Send those trick or treating dogs to my house. I will pretend to be scared and even share a "Tricky Treat" with them. That is what we call Milk Bone Treats. We trick them into coming for a treat.
ReplyDeleteTricky Treat! I am not on FB but, have 2 girlies that are so I will pass on the request.
Have a sew good week!

You have a lovely blogsite! A real delight to read. I am a busy mum who once was crafty..when I had time :) I got tired of untangling toddlers from spools of cotton and rescuing buttons from their little throats... My projects are waiting patiently for their day to come again!
ReplyDeleteYour trick or treaters are definitely more cute than frightening! I love seeing Fezzik with his stuffed animal. Our schnauzer has several "babies" that are never far from his sight.
ReplyDeleteYour new header is perfect!
A wonderful day with family is the best rest of all. Your weekend sounds just perfect...including the housecleaning part. :o) I should spend my time like this.
ReplyDeleteHappy Gratitude November...
What cuties! I would have welcomed even THEM, we had (1) t&t, yup! Good thing we like Snickers.
ReplyDeleteTY for your sweet notes, I so appreciate you, Donna.
Have a lovely week.

You really did have two of the cutest trick or treaters! Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. I'm sure you'll meet your deadline.
ReplyDeleteHow cute are these pictures. You are so funny. I have to agree with you I can not believe it is November already. Panic time is approaching fast.
ReplyDeleteI need to ask you something I just thought of so will send you an email my friend
Tell Handsome Maggie will do anything for him as long as he takes care of Donna for me.
Love
Maggie
Your trick or treaters are really cute. Wish they had come to our door. LOL
ReplyDeleteI do love your trick or treaters! So fun! I also think you had a most wonderful Saturday and Sunday just enjoying the moments. Sounds like pure bliss to me!

You got me giggling. I needed that! Fezzik is so soft looking. Teddy sends woofs and licks. I am on the mend and I thank you dear friend for your kind note. No more flu shots for me.
ReplyDeleteWhen I see pics of your dogs, it makes me want to run out and adopt one of my own! They are adorable. I spent the day putting away Halloween decorations and editing the fall ones, too. I am so ready for the Christmas holidays. I put out fall, way too soon! :-)
