This is my September artist trading card for the Blissfull ATC Swap group. I sent it off to Leila of Artsy Creations by Leila early last week. I'm sure she's received it in California by now, and that my card from her will be waiting for me when I get home. I promise I'll share it with you as soon as I can open the envelope!
I used a Green Woman image, added leafy beads, a pretty ruffle and the words "Every leaf speaks bliss". All of the elements are sewn to a fabric base with a meandering stitch to join it to a little batting. It has my usual playing card back for stability.
Thanks again to Debbie and Wendy for hosting this fun and creative group for ATC artists. I'm really having a ball with this ongoing swap!
PS. No worries, girlfriends! My finger is healing nicely, doesn't hurt and isn't keeping me from stitching. Once I removed that bulky gauze bandage and just covered my finger with a regular Bandaid, things started looking up. I'll be back to "normal" soon. Thanks so much for your notes of concern. Although our schedule has me too busy to respond to each note, I've read them all and really appreciate all your kind thoughts. xoxo
What a wonderful card you made. - Love it.

Dearest Donna,
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry I didn't respond till now, but I thank God you're okay. Having said that........geez lady, you're sounding more like me! I always get the wonky chairs, the broken cup, etc. I'm glad it's not impeding your sewing, but maybe it was a little sign to slow down missy. Sometimes too much can be expected of a great artist like you, and one such as you needs to be cherished and pampered....yes, I'm groveling, but just for fun. Seriously though, take care.
Stop by and see my Halloweenies!
Love ya'
