As You Wish...

I hadn't opened up the jelly roll of fabrics for the second giveaway quilt until yesterday. I am drooling just looking at all the feminine colors and patterns in this line. What do you think? Even if you didn't choose this fabric collection in the poll, I hope you won't mind a quilt using them if you win.
You can click on the photos to enlarge them. Really! I want you to take a closer look and let me know what you think. They're going to be really fun to cut and put together. And, if you win the drawing and decide that you don't want this quilt, I'll be happy to make up a quilt for you using the fabric collection you selected. As you wish. I want you to be happy. (You'll have to wait a little while longer to receive it, of course. I can't just snap my fingers and have a finished quilt, you know!)

I can see myself falling for the finished quilt. I might have to make one for myself just like it! We could have matching quilts! When you use it, you could imagine the two of us using this as the tablecloth for a tea party where we'll share a cup of tea and a biscuit as we get to know each other better.
I called this quilt choice "Garden Whimsy" for the poll, but it's actually Moda's "Spring Magic" line. I hope you won't mind if I call the quilt "Spring Magic" from now on. Perfect for a quilt for this Fall. Ahhh, the irony of it makes me giggle.
This is what I see when I look out my studio door into the hall these days. Upside down corgi. I have to stop everything, pick him up and smooch him all over his little face. Is it any wonder that it's taking me a while to get my tasks accomplished? I know...You've got no sympathy whatsoever. I should have known better than to get a puppy when there were giveaway quilts to be sewn.

"Ma'am. Put the puppy down, and slowly back away. That's right, ma'am. Put the puppy down." Nothing like a dose of the Puppy Police to get a girl back on track. "Serve and protect, ma'am. We don't want any spoiled puppies around these parts."

  5. I cannot imagine having a house where you do not step around animals. And we think we train them.

The winner of the quilt will be thrilled, regardless of the colors.
The colors are alive with spring and will brighten any cold, rainy winter day.

  6. First things first. That puppy! Oh Fezzik, I too want to pick you up and smootch you right on the top of that shiney, black, cute little nose!! Scchhhwwwaaa! (that's the sound of a puppy kiss)...

    Ahem... (patting down hair)...

Donna, those fabrics are gorgeous!! Who, who I ask could possibly *not* love a quilt made from those? They're divine, really.

I don't think I'd get anything done with a new little baby in the house either... you really are Superwoman.

  10. OMG Donna, that fabric is sooooo gorgeous, and the puppy aint too bad either! I'd have to do the same thing if I saw that kind of pose......I'd be smoochin' too! My two dogs are waaaaay past puppyhood, so their antics aren't cute anymore, and they very rarely have cute poses. For the most part they now just happen to lie right across my path so that I can take dangerous spills, or they lie down right behind (and I mean right behind) my rolling chair so that I'm stuck. As the luck of life has it though, they have turned into "my" dogs as our kids have abandoned them so that they may have their "lives" and so now I feed them, water them, and generally curse at them for being right under my feet 98% of the day. "Huge Sigh"

    Love ya'

  14. I am sure it is much too late for the "Puppy Police" to stop any spoiling action.
I love that fabric collection. I bought my firs "moda Jelly Roll" the other day. I have not opened it because, it is much too pretty the way it is. I love how they all coordinate.

  19. There are no puppy police and smooching on your little Fezzik is perfectly acceptable. As for quilting taking second place...so be it as puppies are only tiny for so little time.
This fabric is fabulous out of the packaging roll. Who knew? I love it and the thought that you are making a quilt for some lucky soul is just too exciting. Happy week ahead...

  23. I love the colors. Just yummy like sweet little Fezzik. You take all the time you want as when they grow up they will remember that you were there for them. In other words just hug away, kisses and all. Give him and Kes a kiss from me.

  24. The fabrics really are very beautiful, the colours are so fresh and make me think of Spring, which is just what I need to cheer me up as we are heading for winter, and it is cold, grey and drizzly.

  29. That is a gorgeous bunch of fabric. So cheeful and happy. Of course, I would get absolutely nothing done from slobbering kisses all over the puppy. I would go to jail for kissing abuse. To darn cute!! I can't take it!!!!!

  30. Oh Donna, The colors are so pretty and if I am lucky enough to win, I would love either of the quilts. It would have a very special meaning for the friendship that we made. I told my kids you had a corgi to and the boys say you will have lots of fun. They have a corgi and a blue healer. I am so glad you share your picture of your puppy. Have a great day. Your Missouri Friend.

  32. Have you made your puppy a quilt yet? Yes, my 4 footed baby (14 year old chow) has her own quilt.
Can we have coffee at your tea party? And can puppies and older dogs come also?
