On Monday, my whole day was spent in a city commission meeting without even so much as a crafting magazine or needle and thread. Wasted time in my book! So, I'm not going to talk about Monday, but I do want to share a photograph that I took on Sunday.
Handsome and I were out near Myakka State Park in Sarasota, FL when I happened upon this egret standing watch on the shore of a beautiful pond. I couldn't resist taking its picture so that I could share it with you. (A good blogger always has her trusty camera in hand, right?)
Today, I'll be back in the studio. I'm going to work on a few of the gifts for my current giveaway. I'm looking forward to sharing them with you tomorrow. Until then, I'll take a deep breath, forget about city politics and drink in this calming image of a day spent with nature. Nature. Saves me every time!
The grace of the egret is almost ballet from the gods. I am new to your blog but would love to sign up for your your giveaway. I hope it is not too late. Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

ReplyDeleteI love herons. Nice picture!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful egret. Yes nature and critters save me every time too. Politics....gag, ick, puke.
ReplyDeleteHave a fun day creating. :)
Beautiful egret!
ReplyDeleteWe actually have them here in N. Nv, too, and I am always thrilled to see them.
Politics-yuck! Some wag said it was poly ticks; many ticks!
Enjoy your sewing.
'I'd rather be sewing'...no kidding...me too!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you have some peaceful moments to 'take you away' and help us forget about the stressors in our lives.
Have a terrific Tuesday. ~Natalie
We have herons that fly over our house and I will occasionally see them in the creek down the street. I always feel blessed somehow when I see one fly over. I always give God a little thank you for the blessing, when I see them.

I will be sending your ATC, today or tomorrow!
You are one amazing woman and I knew from your sensitive photos and poetic style I would love the meeting of our minds. Art Saves Lives and making my art close to Nature restores and replenishes my body and soul. Are you near Corkscrew Swamp??? I love walking back into time when I visit there and the tranquility of a time standing still. Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
ReplyDeleteWelcome to my simple post.
What a gorgeous egret! I hear you about being pulled away from creating - tomorrow hopefully I will get a chance to work on some goodies. Theresa

Wonderful capture of the egret, we saw them nesting in a park in flordia last year. I see them in the waterways here,, also grey cranes. They really know how to concentrate.
