|Brynwood Needleworks - Happy Feet - New Sandals|
When I was a younger woman, I had lots of shoes. I worked in a law office as a paralegal/office manager and dressed up every day. I rarely wore slacks, opting instead for more flattering dresses and suits. My closet had a pair of shoes to go with nearly every outfit. (It might have been an obsession. I couldn't possibly comment.)
Many of those shoes had high heels...and I wore them to walk two blocks to and from work every day. Ahhhh, yes. Those were the days.
Living in Florida, I find myself wearing sandals or flip flops more often than not. I rarely have call to wear heels, and it seems my feet have lost their attraction to flip flops. (My friend, Krisann, says, "How would you like it if every time you took a step, you got slapped in the face?" The implication being that my feet were being assaulted by the constant slapping.)

I needed a new pair of tennis shoes to give my feet a little more support and coverage for our return trip to Wisconsin. I did get those, but I also got a second pair that I have to share. What do you think of these little beauties. Aren't they pretty? They're so comfortable, too!

You can see that they're from Spring Step and the soles are cushy - perfect for my...ahem...mature tootsies. They also have heel straps which will avoid the 'slapping' Krisann cautions against.
So, if the weather is warm, I'll wear these, and if it cools off, I'll wear my new tennies. Either way, I've got two great new pairs of kicks to take with me on our trip. I'll definitely have Happy Feet!
