It's finished. Completed. Accomplished. Concluded. Wrapped Up. Done.
Can you tell that I'm doing a little happy dance? Yup!
See? I have the fingers to prove it. Those are my "catching" fingers.
Although I stitch with either hand, I usually stitch with the needle in my
right hand. I can use a thimble on that hand, but I need to keep the fingers
on my left hand uncovered so that I can feel when the needle has passed
through that fabric. It's not painful - and I didn't draw any blood - but
I think I've lost the feeling in the tips of two fingers. (lol)
I know that both fingers are calloused from the needles, but I'll put my
special cream on them and they'll be good as new in no time flat.
This is my entire finished block.
How many hours did it take? hmmmm A few. Well, more than a few.
But the truth is, I really enjoyed the time I spent working on it.
I'll be showing it to my friends at our guild meeting on Tuesday night.
I can hardly wait!

Hi Donna, Your block is beautiful. I had to leave a comment before I went out the door to work. It helps keep my mind busy. Have you ever tried a product called thimble it? They let you feel your needle and still give some protection to the fingers. Have a great day. We could use some of the warm weather back. It is 25 this morning. Have a great day. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.
ReplyDeleteThis block is so amazing and your design is stunning. I can only imagine how many tiny little stitches you sewed into this block...only your fingers know for sure. Beautiful Block Dear. You should be very proud indeed.
ReplyDeleteYou already know what I think of your fabulous block. Nothing like having scars to tell tall stories about.
ReplyDeleteThis is SO very beautiful! Your quilting group will love it. :) I can't wait to see the finished quilt. It's pretty much official - you have inspired me to do an applique 'intricate' block. Now, to decide which one! :)
