Brynwood Needleworks - Panoramic Picture of My Studio Space

After all the travel excitement, and annual year-end events, it's always difficult for me to motivate back to the studio. This weekend was no exception. While some of my pals were reveling in their new projects, I decided to balance my time with Handsome and friends instead. The studio will be waiting, so I needn't worry about that.

Most of my supplies are back in their rightful place, with the exception of things still stored in my large, rollabout tool kit (that rolling black case sitting right next to my sewing machine table). I'll put those things away today.

However, there are things that are ready and waiting right now. Take my box of zippers and my zipper tapes, for example. (I don't mean actually "take", by the way. I need these things!)

I've already started preparing my zipper tapes into the lengths I'll need for my upcoming projects. I have some great plans for stocking my shop in the upcoming weeks! I'll be ready for reopening soon, too!

My hardware orders arrived, too, so I've organized everything in anticipation. I work better when things are in their place and ready to go. Gosh, I waste time when I have to hunt for something I've misplaced. sigh

I'll be working in the studio today. I'm anxious to show you what I have in mind, but I can't until I get a sample or two completed! No time to waste. You'll see soon enough!

Brynwood Needleworks - Our Pups

 Hi, Everybody!

Bella and I spent the weekend celebratin' the new year with Mom and Dad...and we really had a lot of excitement with people comin' and goin' around here. It was hard for us to catch our usual mid-day naps.

We were ready to go to bed every, single night. Mom took our picture so you could see the view she and Dad see every night. They get to see our handsome (or cute, in Boo's case) faces before they turn out the lights. 

There's a routine, though. Every night, before we can get up on the bed, Mom and Dad put a sheet or duvet cover over their bedding. They mutter somethin' about keepin' dog hair off their bed. That Bella sure sheds. hee hee  Once that cover is on, then we're allowed to get up there with them.

Mom usually sits with us first. She has a little bed table with her computer on it, so she can write her blog posts - or collaborate with me for mine! Then, Dad comes in, and he always gives us a treat before bedtime. Always. Sometimes it's a sweet potato treat. Sometimes it's something else Mom made for us. Sometimes it's a shredded wheat. We can't go to sleep unless we get one. Really!

This picture was taken while we were patiently waitin' for him to come in with our treats. We do our best to be adorable. Then, we get a treat and a snuggle!

We're lookin' forward to lots of adventures this year. We'll be in Florida and Wisconsin and we can't wait to share our experiences with you. Mom will be celebratin' nine years of bloggin' this year, but I'll turn 6 this year and Boo is gonna be 2 pretty soon.
