I'm Ready...

I'm ready for the "Paws & Whiskers" guild competition.
My entry is complete. I finished it yesterday afternoon.

My design was inspired by an art card I purchased last year.
It's a watercolor image created by David J. Rogers.
I fell in love with the image the instant I saw it, but I
adjusted it so it had the same markings as my muse.
It measures 25" x 28", which is well
within the guidelines for the competition.
Our pieces will be judged on November 15th,
and I promise I'll tell you how it's received.
It's my tribute to my first Corgi -
my sweet Fezzik.
 I've called it
"For The Love Of A Corgi".

It was a true labor of love, and
although it would be fun to win a 1st Place ribbon,
the satisfaction from creating something
in memory of Fez is really enough for me.
Winning would be the icing on the cake.
Don't forget!
Today is the last day to enter my 900th Post Giveaway.
I'll chose a winner this evening and
announce the lucky name tomorrow.
Good Luck!

Catching Up...

All I have left to do is the binding and my guild competition quilt will be finished. I spent all day yesterday doing the surface quilting, but ran out of gas (and thumbs) before I could finish the hand sewing for the binding.  I'll take a couple Aleve™ and finish it today.

Do you think I should show you a picture of the whole thing before the competition or would you rather wait til after the judging? I can go either way on that. Just let me know what you think.
I did manage to make a batch (6) of Revolution Rolls to try out, too. (Two might have been consumed with dinner last night.) I was tickled that they looked just like Sandy's photos! They were pretty good - especially when you consider that there are only a few ingredients: cream cheese, eggs, cream of tartar and Splenda™. (Note: you can click on the italicized name of these rolls above for the link to the recipe.)

I'm going to take the the rest of them and actually make sandwiches today. (You use two to make a sandwich, as they're too thin to split.) I'm thinking tuna fish might be good. I love that stuff, and can't tell you how sick I get of using lettuce leaves instead of rolls. Now, I can use these rolls and actually put lettuce inside. Brilliant!

I've got inspiration lined up in the studio that I can't wait to tackle. Next will be a project for my brother, followed by a quilt repair task that I'll be sharing with you as I work on it. I'm also fitting in projects for my new product line launch. I'll tell you all about it in mid-November. I hope you will be excited about it as I am.

What do you have planned for today?

Tuesdays With Tag - Halloween Trick...

OK. I admit it. I was so excited about my Cauliflower Bread Sticks that I flippin' forgot about this weeks' Tuesday With Tag! We were out in the Flying Cloud yesterday and I snapped a few photos of Tag to post for...Tuesday...when it occurred to me that yesterday was Tuesday. Bad Mom! Bad Mom!
This week's Disapproving Corgi Look.
(How could you forget, Mom?)
Great. A guilt trip courtesy of my dog.

Let's try to salvage this, ok? Tag is now seven months old. It's nice not to have to keep the little man on a leash every second we're outside. He loves his Airstream as much as he loves fetching, so he races to the coach steps whenever we get near it.
We have created a new, level parking area for our "guest house" and it's really nice. Tucked in the trees at the back of our yard, it feels like a mini getaway. Tag likes it, too. Places to snuffle, nice shade and good smellin' grass. It all combines to make for a happy corgi.
He won't let me forget the missed Tuesday post for a while, but it's a blessing to know that he's  thriving, healthy and happy. I'll give him a biscuit or two to make up for it. He won't even remember this by next week. Lucky for me.

I had another fun post for today, but I'm going to share that with you tomorrow instead. 'til then...
"More wagging and less barking!"
