Winter Penny Mat

 A joyful weekend spent with family, needle dancing in my free time.

I completed the Winter Penny Mat and love how it turned out!

There were a total of 168 little woolen circles stitched into this creation. We'll enjoy this for years to come. (Even the back is pretty. I finished it, but forgot to take a picture. I'll share it on the Brynwood Needleworks Facebook page HERE later today.)

Primitive Gatherings' Stitch On!

I also completed "Stitch On!", which is another Primitive Gatherings piece. This one will be mounted into an oversized white frame. I'll pick that up next time I'm in Menasha. 

 

All in all, it was a good weekend to get a few wool projects accomplished. I'm still stitching this week. The winners have made their pincushion choices, and I'm putting them together today and tomorrow to mail out by Friday. "Stitching on!" Happy! Happy!

On Deck - Tea Cozy Repair...

Well-loved Tea Cozy

While the sun has been shining, I've been photographing and listing new fabrics in my shop. Later yesterday, I was working on my "Stitch On!" wool work piece that I showed you yesterday. When I finish that (today), this is next on my list...a sweet, well-loved tea cozy in need of repair.

Inside of Tea Cozy

This is a picture of the inside of the cozy. It's got a nice, fuzzy, plushy interior. The exterior is what really needs my attention. It won't take long to replace the fabric, and I can use the removed fabric as a pattern for the new floral I've chosen.

The pretty fabric with the black background will be made into the new cover for this piece. I'll make it today, and share my finish(es) with you on Monday. I'm really in the mood to play since I sent off our tax documents.

 

Happy St. Patrick's Day to those who celebrate the holiday. We'll celebrate our younger son and his wife's anniversary, as they were married the same day.

"Stitch On" from Primitive Gatherings

I'm back listing up fabrics and other treasures in my shop, so I wanted to have a quick, little project to work on. This is what I've chosen.

"Stitch On" - Framed or Pincushion?

 

Once I've finished the stitching (I'm doing the grey version), I have to decide whether it will be framed or a pincushion. What do you think?
