I Have Proof...

"No. I never let the dogs up on my lap", he said.
Kes couldn't even believe it. "What the...?"
Fezzik said, "What's wrong, Kessie?"
"You're on Dad's lap? Are you kidding me?"
Fezzie replied with a meek "Come here, Kessie. It's ok.
Lemme give you a little smooch."

Handsome insists he only had The Corgi on his lap because he wanted to make sure that Fezzik wasn't catching a chill. The Corgi jumped into the pool again yesterday. He's so fascinated by the water moving that he can't resist. Of course, the fact that I'd dried him off was of no consequence. Now I have proof that Handsome does, occasionally, let the dog up on his lap. Kes got an extra treat in compensation. Corgi smooches just didn't do it for her. Nice try, Fez.

  3. Guys are so funny.
Mine used to talk tough dog talk too.

Now you can see daily his shows of affection, but no dogs in his lap. They are German Shepherd/Rot mix and lab/boxer mix. There's not enough lap. But they do put their front parts up there!

    Gotta love our guys.

  5. Hey Girlfriend,

Sorry I haven't gotten back with your email......things have been a little sticky here lately. I, too, still want to swap, but currently we're waiting to see if my husband still has a job......any job! His company is going under, so we've rightfully been out of our minds, scrambling to figure things out. I'll keep you posted.

    Love ya'

  6. Donna,

Love the dogs. Of course the dog gets in his lap and probably on the bed too. LOL. I hope to get to knitting store soon. I have just been busy decluttering and organizing and of course blogging.

  9. We humans only try to behave...it is our pets who encourage otherwise. Mr. C is always catching me doing something I am not supposed to with our Sasha BooBoo furchild kitty. Kes and Fez and your Handsome are super adorable. Happy week ahead...

  13. Had to laugh at this one. I've seen it time and time again. Your home has been taken over by "corgi charm". I recognized it because it's definitely at my house.

  15. That's so sweet and funny! I doubt it if I'd ever catch my husband with our corgi on his lap much less even petting her. He just doesn't like her for some reason. She knows it too! He's not mean to her but he just has nothing to do with her at all. Strange isn't it! Corgi's are such loving dogs. I just don't understand it!

    Have a Great Week!
