Feeling Better, Thanks...

I was feeling so much better yesterday, that I couldn't resist sewing for just for a little while. I managed to piece the center section for my Pure Table Quilt.
The next step will be to decide how I want to assemble the borders. I love how it's looking so far.

If you haven't visited Sandy's blog, Vintage Sandy, you'll want to click here to see what she just created with the same fabric line. It's beautiful!
I got an email from Mary Ann from Ohio, who said that I inspired her to create her own mug mat. Isn't it gorgeous? I love the fabrics she chose, and I could learn a thing or two from her photo staging! Thank you so much for sharing (and allowing me to share) your project, Mary. I can't wait to see what your next one - or five - looks like. (giggle)

I have had a few of you say that you'd like to participate in a Mug Mat Swap. I've decided that I'm going to organize a swap in the near future. I'll have more about it soon.

I'm so glad to say that I don't expect to be lollygagging around today. The hacking and nose blowing is, thankfully, (mostly) behind me. If you're looking for me, I'll be back in the studio...with a big smile on my face.

  1. I just love all your little critters. Kez looks so much like my Phoebe and I love Fezzik. How adorable. I hope that the swelling went down. Don't we just panic so when something happens to our little kids. Well Phoebe isn't so little. She is about 90+ lbs but she doesn't know it. She still sits on my lap and falls asleep on my lap.
I love your placemats. I love the fabrics that you have choosen. Eww.... and your strawberry Rose. I want it. heheh It is so pretty.
Keep up all the great work. and I do hope you got over your cold. I have been really lucky as I haven't had a cold in about 3 years. Can you believe that?

  2. I KNEW it! When I read yesterday that you were not feeling well, I thought "I'll bet she still gets more sewing done today than I will in a month." And you did!

  6. Hi Donna,
I love the colors and pattern very much of your table quilt! I used a pretty red and cream fabric from Moda to make pillow covers for my couch. I can't wait to see your runner on your table. I have a shopping day planed at our local quilt shop to purchase fabric for a quilt and I can't wait. Now that all the Christmas gifts have been made I can start making a few quilts...
Have a sweet day and hugs, Elizabeth

  10. Oh, mercy ... you got the crud, also. It sure is a nasty hanging on one this year. We are finally over it. Hope yours gives up soon ... so sorry you got sick with this, Donna.

Love your table design quilt, such sweet colors.

Snuggle up with a cup of tea ... have a beautiful eve.

  11. Hi Donna, I am so glad that you are feeling better. There is a lot of sickness going around. We worked today with just three of us so I am glad that we have the snow. It meant that we weren't going to be that busy. It was so bitter cold today and of all days for our furnace to not work right. It only got to 67 in my office today and I don't like working when it is that cold. I like your new quilt you are working on. Have a great day. Your Missouri Friend.
