I'm A Little Late To The Party...

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord...

Nothing like a little musical entry for Silver Sunday!

This is one of Handsome's Rogers drum kits. This one is circa 1970s. He also has another kit that I just love. It has a pearl finish and really sparkles, but that one is packed up right now, as he just finished playing in a band that accompanied a circus in Gibsonton, FL yesterday!
Imagine this set, trimmed in chrome plating over polished brass, a sleek white finish, and Handsome sitting on the stool - sticks in hand. I can't imagine a better way to make beautiful music.

Check out the other participants in Beth's Silver Sunday party at Gypsy Fish Journal by linking here. Thanks again, Beth for being such a great hostess!

I'll show you what I was doing over the weekend when I write again tomorrow - and I'll announce the winner of my PhotoBook Creator Giveaway, too! Good luck to all the participants.

My husband has his old drum kit from the 70's. It's a cheap one and it's had its day. He wants to get rid. I recently had a thought that I could take the big one, paint it black, couple of red stencils on it and thread rope in a zig zag around it - make it look Victorian and use it as a side table. You're probably crying now at the thought, and for goodness sakes don't tell Handsom! xx

Hello Donna,
Thanks for stopping by the other day and leaving such a sweet comment. I love seeing your pretty face.
There is so much talent in your family with both you and Handsome.
I love the drums and admire anyone who can play them. The photos are beautiful and your message so true.

hugs
Sissie

Looks like a lot of fun to bang on those beauties!!! I have been on a break from blogging so much. However, I have been making quilts and you were part of my inspiration!! I had fun watching you start and finish a few last summer and decided I wanted to try too. If you get a chance go and check mine out:) I love your mug mats by the way!!

I fear my young grandson, who loves music, will take it upon himself to learn the drums. Lawsy, I hate racket!

Love the drums, my grandson plays drums for with our Praise Team at church and Mr. D has played guitar for many, many years. His music has been the background music of my life.
