Swap Deadline Soon...

Brynwood Needleworks - Mug Mats By One Of Our Talented Participants

ATTENTION SWAP PARTICIPANTS:
A quick reminder that our March Madness Mug Mat Swap deadline is fast approaching.

All mug mats (and gifts) are to be mailed, shipped, passenger pigeoned or pony expressed to your swap partner by Friday, March 17th. If you have any questions, or issues, please contact me.

I'll be sharing photos (next week, after I know they've been received by the recipients) of all the mug mat swap items as they've been shared with me by the participants. I'm giving you a sneak peek of mats that I got from one of the participants!

I can say that all the mats (and extra goodies) I've seen so far are so cool. I know that everyone who's making and sending out their mats are going to love what they get!

Make sure you send photos to me of your mats and swap gifts, please, so I know you've finished yours. I'll make sure your name is in the drawing for one of two mug mats gift sets I've put together for two lucky swap participants. Drawing winners will be announced on Saturday.

There Shall Be Hollyhocks...

Once the snow and cold disappears, the spring plants will start to peek out of the ground at the farm. I'm planning to add flowers around the house after our new wraparound porch is rebuilt.

I've been thinking about which plants I'll choose to bring color and fragrance to our gardens. We already have morning glories, lily of the valley, chrysanthemums, a few wild roses and hydrangeas (bridal bouquet) next to the porch, along with evergreen bushes (which I'll move). There are lilacs growing in the front and side yard now, and I'll be adding more of those.

Across the yard, we have lilies, and the tulips and daffodils I received from my friend, Amy. I planted those before I left the farm last fall.

I want to have bleeding hearts, forget-me-nots, geraniums, tiger lilies, lavender, peonies, and of course, hollyhocks. Am I forgetting something?

The plantings around the porch will have to wait a while, but I'm anxious to dive into a few seed catalogs, and find plants that haven't been engineered to harm bees or butterflies, to add to our yard. I'll will definitely be found in the garden this summer.

Tuesdays With Tag - Random Stuff...

Brynwood Needleworks - Brynwood's Taggart

 Hi, Everybody!

Here we are again, and this past week has been about as excitin' as watchin' cars rust. The most excitement I've had is dodgin' boxes and makin' sure I don't get packed in one!

Mom and I did have a little one-on-one time last Friday and Saturday when Dad and Boo went to Uncle Mike's for an overnighter. I got treats and we hung out and watched movies. It was nice that she took a break with me for one night.

I decided to go into my "pile of stuff" and find some fun things to share with you. Mostly because no one has aimed a camera (or iPhone) at me for about a week. What the heck? Anyway...

You can see from this diagram, that these are all my parts Mom's missin' these days. She does pet my neck floof first thing in the mornin' (before we even get outta bed), and every once in a while she tosses somethin' tasty in my "treat detector" (which I really appreciate).

Coloring Art by Vanessa Keys

Mom saved this colorin' page, and maybe you (or your cute, little kiddos - which I love) would like to color it. You can click on it and just pull it to your desktop if you want. Print it out and then you can color away! Thanks to Miss Vanessa Keys for sharing it on FaceBook with all our Corgi friends.

I'm gonna close with a cute cartoon. Mom thought it was funny, and I admit, I could certainly relate. Once in a while, short legs can be a hindrance.

I can't wait until all these boxes are filled. We're leavin' here on the 31st to head to the farm, and Bella and I can't wait. Mom's hopin' there's no snow when we get there, but Bella and I are secretly hopin' there's just a little left to play in. We both have a ball in the snow!

I'll see you again in seven. 'til then...
