My mum is in England visiting relatives until next Friday. While she's away and we're in Wisconsin, she graciously offered her home to us. I wake up every morning and go out to water her garden for her. It's like having her right here...almost.I get to see the results of all her hard work this spring. The prettiest roses and lilies, the spent blossoms of her irises, fountains of phlox and a climbing clematis (and those are only a few). She also cares for her little feathered friends. She has three bird feeders in her yard and more than a few bird houses. My favorite is the bright orange gourd with sunflowers painted on it.
She has the sweetest tomatoes that are just now ripening enough to eat. A sweet kiss in the morning from my mother's garden. Second only to the mornings as a child when I awoke hearing her sweet voice.
