| 71st Birthday Web Image |
It's official. Today I begin my next trip around the sun. 71 and aiming for 100. Women in my family are long-lived, and I hope to be among them...in time.
I'm going to share my official "71" photo tomorrow (along with my completed bluebirds) rather than today because I have a hair appointment at 4 pm, and I'm a bit frowsy right now. lol I know. It's not like I'm actual royalty or anything. Just ask Handsome.
After I complete the bluebirds, I'm going to rest on my laurels the balance of the day. When I go out for my hair appointment, I intend to return with my actual Birthday cake, too!
I'd love to stay and chat, but bluebirds are impatient. I'll be needle dancing this morning, and then slow dancing with Handsome to one of our favorite songs later this afternoon. If you share my birthdate, let me know! I'd love to celebrate you, too! See you tomorrow.

Happy, happy Birthday!!!!
ReplyDeleteI took my 73rd trip around the sun last month!
Can't wait to see the Bluebirds.

Happy 71st Birthday, Donna! I hope your morning stitching was extremely successfully and that you are radiating a glow of "chuffedness"! 😄 I'm pretty sure you are royalty as it seems that Handsome always endeavors to treat you as his queen. 🥰 Please come home with a truly decadent birthday cake worthy of the celebration. Looking forward to seeing all your loveliness tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteHi Lois:
DeleteHe was so concerned because I said it had to have buttercream frosting. "Well, what if they don't have buttercream?" lol He found a lovely two-layer round cake with buttercream frosting. It had balloons on it. I said in jest, "I thought it would say 'Happy Birthday, Bozo'". He looked at me and blinked, and said, "Now, why didn't I think of that?!" We both laughed. We had a perfectly "us" night. Saturday night is the Milwaukee Symphony with our granddaughters to see them perform the music track behind a screening of one of the Harry Potter movies. It will be loads of fun! Thank you so much for the birthday wishes, dear.

Happy Birthday Donna. Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a happy, healthy year ahead.
This past July was 75 for me, my mind hasn't caught up to that number,
it's still stuck around 35 lol.
Happy Birthday.
Shirley
Thank you, dear Shirley:
DeleteI understand completely! Age has never been an issue for me...until this year. Maybe it's the interminable cloudy days. Maybe it's navigating this new knee. I don't know. I never felt anything before this year, but 71 hit me yesterday. Maybe I need a little sunshine therapy? Otherwise, this mind still associates with an age decades younger. Where did the time go?
Hugs,
xoxo

Hope you have a wonderful birthday! Andrea Hickman

You and I are the same age! I turned 71 in July and I don't feel a day over 17. Well, at least in my mind anyway. Enjoy your special day!!!
ReplyDeleteHi MA:
DeleteI keep saying we're sisters! I told Shirley, I'm feeling a bit my age right now, but I'm sure a couple days of sunshine and I'll be back in my 30s anyway. Had a great day, and looking forward to the next year. We'll take this next orbit together.

ReplyDelete72 will be here in lightning speed! Sandra from BC
Hi Sandra:
DeleteYou're so right! Maybe that's why I was in a bit of a funk the day before my birthday? The days, weeks and months just seem to just fly by these days. Thanks for the birthday wishes.
