My favorite saying this time of year is comes from our Native American friends, "Only the white man would cut the bottom off a blanket, sew it to the top, and think they have a longer blanket." Seems most appropriate to me. (Can you tell I'm not a fan of Daylight Savings Time?)
Oh, well. If you don't want to be late for your appointments over the winter, I guess we all better turn back our clocks - unless you're fortunate to live in one of the few - or only - states that doesn't subscribe to this silliness.
I never heard that saying before - it certainly hits the nail on the head!! 😉 (And, it takes weeks to get the body back "in rhythm" again after the time change. Sigh.)
ReplyDeleteHi Lois:
DeleteIt takes the dogs forever to get used to it. We usually split the hour difference and feed them a 1/2 hour early (according to the new time) for a while. sigh

I don't understand this either.
ReplyDeleteWhy some states do it, & others don't?

Hi Marilyn:
DeleteI know. It's all very unnecessary. (In my humble opinion.)

I agree - it's beyond ridiculous and it's been a proven fact by doctors that it wreaks havoc with people. I wish they'd just change it by half an hour and leave it that way.
ReplyDeleteHi MA:
DeleteI could live with that. I agree. It's ridiculous and unnecessary.

Sherry of createology : We are inn Utah and must change our clocks. It always wreaks havoc on my body and brain. I prefer sunshine way more than darkness. It is much colder here and cloudy!
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry:
DeleteI'm with you! I don't like the changing clocks twice a year at all. But, here we go again...
