Our local Piggly Wiggly store is having their anniversary celebration sale. I needed to pick up a few things and saw a great price for chicken breasts, so I bought two large packages.
I canned them yesterday adjusting proportions, layering and how much I put into each jar to avoid ending up with underfilled jars. It worked like a charm. Just look at these jars.
Now we have seven more pint and a half jars of soup/stew/potpie/filling, ready to heat and eat.
Beautiful! And there is something about the size & shape of those jars that is appealing, too. 😄
