Six pounds of local ground beef became seven pints of shelf-stable canned beef. No need to take up freezer space or wait for thawing. It's ready and waiting for future barbecues, tacos, or whatever else I'd like to do with it. Believe me when I say it's always worth the effort
I didn't get to stitch today, but I did set up a new project. I'll share photos tomorrow

You are always busy!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, no thawing.
Can't wait to see your new project.

Wow! I cant remember.. have you canned ground beef before? It amazes me all that can be canned and kept on a shelf! You amaze me, Ma Ingalls 😁
ReplyDeleteHi Lois-
DeleteI have. This is the first time unseasoned. Usually I add taco seasoning for a few pounds. This way I've left my options open. "Ma Ingalls". 😁

I can't imagine canning beef! It has to be good if you do it, but not something I've attempted.
ReplyDeleteHi MA-
DeleteI love the convenience. I only have to plan ahead for future use. This way, I can go in many directions. I'm so glad I faced my fear to learn how to pressure can.

That will get you through any amount of snow.

Hi Shirley-
DeleteGood news-Snow melting. Bad news-Handsome's truck committed sui¢ide. 2011 Ford F-150, 250k miles. I guess it was at the end, but the timing really stinks. We're going to look for used, mainly because I don't want one of the new vehicles that tells me how to drive and tracks my trips. ugh
