| Napa Salad Recipe |
Work went really well yesterday, but I was wiped by the time I finished. Came home, changed into sweats, and thought I'd just take a quick nap. Handsome woke me up for dinner two hours later!
I didn't do any work on his quilt. I didn't really do anything else after we ate. So, I thought I'd share the recipe for the salad I took to the cookie exchange. It's a favorite around here, and although there are a few steps, it's really easy to make.
I use the chicken-flavored ramen noodles, and add the green onions, which are optional in the recipe. If you try it, let me know what you think!
I'll be in the studio today, so I'll be able to share the finished quilt top tomorrow. This afternoon is our classmate dinner, too. Last one for the year. Hard to believe. sigh

Sounds like you got a good rest before dinner.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recipe.
Crazy weather, got to 37 degrees yesterday!

Hi Marilyn:
DeleteIt was a lovely nap, and it was hard to make myself get up. sigh You're welcome, dear. I hope you try making it and like it! I spent most of the day in the studio, but although it was nicer to go out to dinner yesterday, things got slippery after dark. I nearly wiped out in the garage because the water that came off Handsome's truck had frozen. I wasn't prepared, but did my best Sonja Henny and stayed upright! lol
Take care,
xoxo
Donna
Thank you for the recipe - it sounds really good. I don't think I've ever eaten a Ramen noodle (I know - what's wrong with me!!) so perhaps this will be my first taste.
ReplyDeleteHi MA:
DeleteYou're welcome, dear. It is good. When I've made the packages of noodles with the seasoning packets, I never put as much water in them to make an actual soup. I had enough water to soften the noodles, add the seasoning, and eat them that way. This recipe, you just break up the ramen "bricks", and they stay crunchy in the salad until they get softened by the dressing (if there are any leftovers!). Let me know what you think if you make the salad.
Hugs,
xoxo

Funny what those quick naps can turn into. I can admit that I've had a few of them.
ReplyDeleteJust means you needed the rest.
Now full steam ahead.
Shirley
Hi Shirley:
DeleteIf Handsome had been in Florida, I would have probably gotten up to feed and air the dogs, and then gone right back to bed. Our bodies always know what we need most. I completed the quilt top assembly before bed Wednesday night. I'm adding embroideries today (each dog's name) and then it will be ready to add the batting and backing. I'm doing my best to do that today. Photos tomorrow!
Hugs,
xoxo
