| "Bella's Retriever Quilt" |
Yesterday after family left to go home, Handsome took his new quilt upstairs and placed it on the bed. He grabbed the old retriever quilt and placed it on the sectional in our living room. Bella noticed right away, and slowly got up onto the quilt and fell asleep. It's her quilt now and forever.
I will add that when Handsome went upstairs with the new quilt, Carly followed him. He called me into the room and wanted me to "see something". Carly - who has never really paid attention to the bed coverings - had slowly put herself squarely in the middle of the new quilt. She's claimed this one.
Handsome and I both smiled. The next quilt...the next generation. As it should be, I guess. (Sorry. I didn't get a photograph, but I'm sure I'll have plenty of chances going forward.)
I'll be back tomorrow.

Aww, that's just too sweet! 😊

Hi Marilyn:
DeleteThanks, dear. She sure is. Handsome took photos of Bella AND Carly on the sofa today. Both of them were on his old quilt. I'm sure Carly would be thrilled to have her own though, too.

Pets know it was made with love and want to feel that love! Every quilt I make has to be washed because the cat absolutely has to try each out. Andrea Hickman
ReplyDeleteHi Andrea:

ReplyDeleteHi MA:
DeleteThank you. I think they do know. We had a restful day today. I only worked a couple hours because it was so quiet. I think most folks were enjoying leftovers. I know we did once I got home! Hope you have a nice weekend, dear.
