The Peace of Wild Things...

Rest Now, in the peace of wild things...

No rest for me (yet). as I'm continuing work on Handsome's quilt. I assembled the backing yesterday (which I think might surprise you).

I came across this piece, which I really loved, so I thought I'd share it with you while I head back to the studio. Have a great weekend, friends. I'll see you again on Monday (hopefully with a finished quilt)!

  2. I can't imagine how many hours you're spending in your sewing room - between the quilt and the jammies, you have your hands full. I love the illustration!

    1. Hi MA:
My list got shorter this year. Behind my back, Handsome started shopping for our list. Much of my sewing has come off it. I'm not complaining, either. The illustration is what caught my eye. I love it, too.
      Stay warm, girlfriend.

    1. Hi Shirley:
Yesterday morning, Crystal was lying in the sun on my bed while I was getting dressed for work. I noticed she got up, puffed up and was looking out the window, so I got down to her sight line and right there in the large (100 year old) maple in the front yard sat a mature bald eagle! It was looking right in the window at us! It was magnificent, but flew off before I could grab my cell phone and get a photograph. When Handsome and I walked out to the garage so he could drive me to work, an immature eagle flew across the back of the pole barn. Two in one day! I love where we live.
      Happy Christmas Week, dear.
