Tuesdays With Tag - Celebratin'...

Christmas Taggart

 Hi, Everybody!

We hope you had a great Christmas, wherever you spent it. It's been a perfect week for a guy like me. I got to play with our little not-so-little girls, hang out with our grandson, and best of all...Duncan came to visit me yesterday!

Posin' By The Tree

Mom asked me to pose in front of the Christmas tree for her...soooooo I did. Just how many pictures does she need of me, for pete's sake? (Of course, who could blame her?)

Anyway, it was a pretty tree, and it was too cold to be snufflin' around outside. I had much better moochin' opportunities in the kitchen that I'd ever get outside, too!

My Buddy, Duncan

Duncan is a distant relative of Bella's. They're both descended from a male Labrador named "Twig". They have DNA in common, but one thing that's really different is just how big Duncan is compared to Boo. She weighs a svelt fifty pounds, while this guy tips the scales around one hundred ten pounds! It's a good thing he's an easy-going, laid back kinda guy.

I gave him that dog bed in the foreground of this picture. Of course, he loved it, but wanted to check it out before jumpin' right on it. I just know he's gonna love it once he sacks out on it, and I bet they'll have a hard time makin' him get up once in a while!

We spent the afternoon and evenin' with him (and his family) yesterday. It was so nice to have them all visitin'. The only way it would have been better would have been if my own Labrador (Boo) had been here, too. We all missed her.

I'm gonna take some time today to catch up on my beauty sleep. It's hard work entertainin'...and New Year's Eve is practically around the corner! Merry Christmas again. This time it's just from me!

I'll see you again in seven. 'til then...

Tuesdays With Tag - Family Time...

Hi, Everybody!
Apologies for my scruffy appearance today, but I just finished a major workout!
I'm sure enjoyin' my time here in Wisconsin and I want to tell you all about it today.

If anyone is wonderin' just why we make the long trek up here every summer (for
at least four weeks), let me set the record straight. There are three main reasons...
Here's one. Our Grandson who lights up a whole yard with his handsome smile,
This smile was just for Mom - his Grandma. She said he's gonna be a real
lady killer some day (but not too soon).  Hey! I thought that was my job!!!
...and our two beautiful Granddaughters. What can I say about them? We're just crazy
about 'em and I've looked forward to seeing them every year since I was a wee pup.

Of course, their parents are a major draw, too, but these kids are what make me
happy. They're so much fun for me to play with and they treat me like a KING!
Of course, our trip wouldn't be complete without time for me to visit my furry
friends, too. This is part of the workout I was tellin' you about. Duncan is our
grandson's dog. I adore black Labradors! He thinks he's gonna kick me around,
but I showed him a thing or two!!! We're gonna be here 'til the end of the month,
so I know we're gonna have a lot of "Tag Team Matches" before I go home again.
I'm gonna take a short break, but trust that I'm not finished flexin' my muscles.
Mom said that most of the dogs who think they're "big dogs" are all just a bunch
of bark and no bite. Nothin' to be afraid of at all! I'm too smart and fast for them.

I still have a lot to do before we head back to Florida and I don't want to miss a
second of all the fun times Mom and Dad have in store for us. I'll be coming to you
again next week from the Great White North, and I'm sure I'll have another fun story.
'til then...
"Wag Like Ya Mean It!"
PS. Mom wanted me to tell you that because we're in the Central time zone, our posts will show up one hour later than usual. We don't want you to miss a single post, you know! Thank for visitin' again! Smooches, Tag

Tuesdays With Tag - A Play Date...

You know how it is with boys. They start by checking each other out. Sizing each other up. Even if it's a four month old macho Corgi and a thirteen week old Labrador on his own turf. You've gotta know who the other fella is.
The youngster is a little nervous. Perhaps if he puts a little hardware between himself and the tough kid. Yeah, that one. The one with the little tail nub up in the air. Little Mr. Cocky Pants.
Before you know it, the youngster is bouncing around, wagging his tail, telling a few jokes that only they understand. The Corgi admires his spunk.
The kid doesn't have anything to worry about. The Corgi just loves to play and the Labrador is just his kind of playmate. The bouncy, silly, run-around-til-your-tongue-hangs-out kind.
The Clash of the Canines. No harm, no foul. No furniture destroyed. No lamps broken. Just good, clean fun.
Of course, when all the posturing and playing is over, it just comes down to two guys, bellied up to the bar, sharing a drink.

(I can't stand it! Don't you just love that bunny butt?)
PS. Just for the record...The Labrador is NOT a new Brynwood dog.
