...and to all, a good night! (l-r: Bella, Claudette, Carly, and behind Handsome on the ottoman, Crystal) |
Handsome is feeling much better now, and he wants to say "Thank you" for all the get well wishes. There's really nothing that a little TLC can't make better.
We moved furniture around yesterday so that I could troubleshoot a frustrating Directv setup in our living room. It seems every time someone sat down on the sectional, the television signal went out. The wiring and signal box was behind one end of the sofa, and it must have been bumped every time. So, I got a wild hair and said, "Time to get this sorted out."
After all the furniture was rearranged, the television was working again...until I went to hide all the wiring. It went out again. Handsome suggested changing the longest coax cable that goes into the receiver, so he went into his stash of cables and returned with a shorter one. I did the connections, and voila! Not only is the connection stable again, but we've got the best picture we've had in ages. Problem solved, room rearranged, and no more dog hair in a single corner or crevice of the room!
By the time this was all accomplished, we were both bushed. We had a light meal and then sat down to watch a little television. My chair is across the room from Handsome's (you can see my footstool in the bottom left corner of this photo), and this was my late night view from there. That's a whole lot of sleepin' going on!
Seeing that Handsome is feeling so much better takes a lot of worry off my heart. We'll continue with the liquid and light food diet until we're positive he's out of the woods, but I'm very happy with his progress at this point. We'll just watch him improve one day at a time and count our blessings.
I'm so glad Handsome is feeling better.
ReplyDeleteEveryone looks so comfy!
Happy you got the TV issues worked out.
Hubby has been fiddling with a new antenna for the last 3 days!
Marilyn
Hi Marilyn:
DeleteI've been contemplating a separate digital antenna, too. My sister got one and it brings in all the local channels (like 50 of them!). I'd really like to get away from the high cost of Directv, too. Even with loyalty discounts, it's too high for my liking. Hope your husband gets your antenna figured out. Let me know how it works for you!

Donna
He got it figured out. He got it on Amazon.
DeleteYes, we now get a lot of local channels.
He has it way up by the rafters inside the garage.
We cancelled Spectrum, long story.
Marilyn
good work. glad everything is better
ReplyDeleteHi Judy:

What a beautiful picture! Such great news! Continued prayers for Handsome's recovery and for you, Dear Donna.
ReplyDeleteHi Wanda:
DeleteThank you so much! Handsome is still under the weather, and as it's been a week already, he may be making a trip to see a doctor soon. So far, we've got things under control, but he needs to start feeling better. Thanks for your continued prayers, dear.

It is good news Handsome is feeling better. I love your picture with everyone enjoying some well deserved comfort! I am a happy antenna TV user so I think you will enjoy some of the free options available. Have a good day - Kathy
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy:
DeleteI'd love to know which antenna your chose! I'm certainly willing to look into recommendations and options. This crew really likes the new layout, too. Almost a repeat tonight of that photograph! lol
Best Wishes,
xoxo

Hi Donna. I bought mine at Walmart. It is the ONN brand they carry. Since I am outside of the city, I bought the one with a 50 mile range. I believe it had a website you can check to find out where your broadcast towers are located. If not, you can try a google search for locator websites. When I scan for channels, I am getting about 70. Now, if you are braver with technology than I am and have a smart tv, there is a product called TabloTV. It is an antenna, and it will let you record shows. It connects to your internet so you can link multiple TVs to it. I hope this helps.
DeleteSherry of createology : I like your room rearranged. It looks much bigger yet cozy and a great place for napping with all the family. Rest and continued Healing for Handsome.
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry, dear:
DeleteThank you. We like this new arrangement, too! We'll be lucky if the dogs ever give up their new sleeping spots. lol Your get well wishes are greatly appreciated, dear.

The room looks great and Handsome looks comfie and so do the furries on the couch. Nice to see them coexisting so well.
ReplyDeleteHi MA:
DeleteThank you, dear. They are comfortable, for sure! Hard to get those pups off the sofa on a good day. I think they've commandeered it now! lol Everybody is getting on like fast friends. I like it, too.

Norman Rockwell could not have picked such a great scene, not even with the help of Directv.
ReplyDeleteI'm relieved to hear that Handsome is doing a bit better.
The room looks great and it's nice to see all the girls stretched out with Handsome.
Prayers always going from Connecticut to Wisconsin for all of you everyday.
Shirley
Hi Shirley:
DeleteOh, honey, you really made me smile. Thank you for such kind words. Handsome improves, albeit slowly. We're being cautiously optimistic, and still hope to avoid a trip to see a doctor. Your prayers are always appreciated, dear. (Watch your mailbox, btw.)
xoxo
