Brynwood Needleworks' Corgi Pincushion In Progress

 

We've been doing a lot of outside work, preparing for the inevitable colder weather. Even so, when I've finished my outside chores, it's so nice to come back inside, make a hot cuppa tea and then, sit down to stitch. 

I have commissions that are waiting for my attention, so I'm happy to spend my indoor time doing what I love best. Needle dancing. Next up are my Corgi pincushions. Yes. The well-behaved Corgi.

(Tag can be like the little boy in the Calvin and Hobbs' stories. lol)

After I cut out and stitch my Corgi shape, I hand cut and place all the flowers and leaves. Next, I can sit down and stitch all of those. Then, I'll assemble and fill my pincushion, and it will be ready to go to a new home. See you tomorrow!

Sweet Lavender...

Brynwood Needleworks - Lavender-filled Corgi Sachet

 

This lavender-filled Corgi sachet went on its way to a new home yesterday, and then I began work on another Traveler's Wallet. The bonus is that the studio is filled with the wonderful scent of lavender buds now, as I work.

Life is good when I'm surrounded with projects, dogs at my feet, and living with a happy husband. Handsome is in Bradenton, playing circus music this week, but we stay in touch as he makes music and I make up my orders...and lists for new projects.

I'm taking a break to have lunch with my girlfriend, Stacey today, and when I get back, I'll finish that wallet. It's hard to believe it's already Friday and we're halfway through January. Time sure flies when you're having fun!

Busy Stitching...

Brynwood Needleworks - Fairy Steed Corgi Pincushion Detail

I've been stitching all weekend. I created three new Woolen Strawberry Pincushions for my shop, and then I created a Fairy Steed Corgi Pincushion that I had donated to a fundraising auction. ( I completed a second for my shop, too!)

In addition to the knowledge that I donated to a good cause, I was gratified to learn that the donor wanted my creation enough to earn it with her high bid of $75 for an item she could have purchased for $30 in my shop. I'm shipping it off to her today, and I hope she will use and enjoy it for a long time to come.

Nifty 50s today, so I'll be working on something new to share with you tomorrow. Wishing you a blessed day.
