Weekend Stitching...

My weekend began on Friday, stitching this pendant for a customer. I'll make another soon for my shop to replace this sold one. The new owner already has and is wearing this one.

I added the bee charm to the bottle I created on Saturday, so I took a few photos, including showing it lit up with my fairy lights. The little charm is on the neck of the bottle and has crystal wings for a bit of sparkle. 

I'm not sure why the lights cause a blue cast (in spite of my trying to edit that out), because it doesn't read that way at all "in person". It just has a soft white glow, which is much preferred to this blue cast!

At any rate, now it's completely finished and I can enjoy lighting it up for a while at night to enjoy.

After our Saturday craft session, I came home and contemplated how I wanted to make my Corgi brooch sparkle. This is where I stopped at the end of my session. I moved the nose bead down a bit, added a beautiful opal thread - couched in a brick pattern - and will do the feet next. 

After the feet are done, I'll start adding the chipping for the rest of his body. As always, I keep the first one, which is good. I'm my own worst critic, so I see where I could have done better on the white "ruff". I know I'll perfect the second one, knowing ahead of time how I'll put it together, having already done it here.

Yesterday was spent canning. I'll share photos of that tomorrow. I'm working today, so I'd better get organized so I get there with time to spare. See you tomorrow!

Brynwood "Bryn" Wallets For The Show

 

Well, these are all finished and ready to go to my booth at the show next weekend. Today, I'll be working on Nocturne Overnight Bags. 

Here's what I'm planning to have for the show:

I think that will be enough to adequately populate my booth, and give shoppers a nice selection. The hickory syrup should be a nice add-on sale, too. I expect I'll sell out of that, for sure. Some of these will be pulled from my Etsy shop (which I'll close for the weekend).

Well, friend. I know you know the drill. Feed the dogs and cats (Handsome had an appointment first thing this morning.) Morning coffee. Then, hi ho, hi ho. It's off to the studio I go! (I'll keep working this weekend.)

Wee Roses For A New Pendant Design

 

I couldn't resist working on at least one embroidery last evening. My red roses seemed to be so well-received that I decided to make them my first design for this style pendant. (I won't be keeping this one, though.)  I'll do more in other colors, along with a few other flowers, too. I think this pendant shape will lend itself well to hollyhocks, Queen Anne's Lace, and a few other tall flowers.

I'm making more syrup today, and bread tomorrow. I'll stitch in between, but I'll get back to bag making on Monday. I'll share a few finished pendants next week.

New Findings For Needlework

 

I received some new findings for needlework pendants for my show booth in a few weeks. I'll be making these up in the coming evenings. I'm also waiting for ring findings. I can't wait for those to arrive!

I'm busy in the studio, and will be getting more done today. I'll share pictures tomorrow and Monday. I'm heading upstairs soon with my first cuppa coffee. Hi ho...hi ho...

Brynwood Needleworks - Floral Pendants

 

I added two more completed pendants to my lineup. In addition to the peach rose, I now have clover and Queen Anne's lace pendants. I love how these turned out, so I just kept going. I'll be adding these to my Etsy shop soon, however, you can also claim the ones you see before they get listed. Brynwood Needleworks - More Florals

 

Yesterday, I created a lilac floral (for a special order), and three roses. One rose is the same soft pink colors I used in the Lady's Necessaire. The other two roses are shades of purple. I'll be mounting these into the jewelry pieces over the weekend. I've already got four or five more in mind. Like my post title says, making these can be a little addictive!

 

Brynwood Needleworks - Acorn Charms

Did I tell you I even added a tiny acorn to each necklace? I did! Now, you'll remember who created them, even though I'm not signing these pieces.

 

I'm meeting up for a long overdue lunch date with my BFF, Lee. If I remember, I'll take photos. When we get together, it's easy to lose track of time. I do love that gal.

Brynwood Needleworks - Rose Floral Pendant

I've been busy creating some new offerings. Lately, I've begun stitching these small florals to insert into lovely pendant findings. 

The Rose Floral Pendant (shades of peach) is ready to ship to a new home. I'll be offering it on the Brynwood Facebook page this morning. Once it's claimed, I'll email an invoice to the buyer. If you're interested, all you have to do it write "Me, please" in the comments for this post or in the Facebook group. (If it's already claimed, I'll happily make another just for you!)

Brynwood Needleworks - Florals For Pendants

 

In addition to the roses, I've also stitched a pretty Clover, and another with Queen Anne's Lace. I'll make up the pendants for these two today. You may also claim those now, if you'd like either one.

 

Is there a special flower you'd like to see? Just let me know. I'd love to make something just for you. You can see the pendant and chain size in the first image. Each one is stitched on natural linen using quality cotton threads, and I've even added a tiny acorn charm to each chain (near the clasp). 

 

These are perfect as gifts, too. Each one will arrive carefully packaged in a white box, ready to give to a special friend or family member.

I'll be busy needle dancing today. I'm looking forward to sharing more pendants as I complete them. Can you believe it's already the weekend again? Whew! Time sure flies.
