On A Wing...

Today's photograph shows my progress on the bluebird wings. The difference is about six hours' worth of needle dancing. I still have more to do, but I thought you'd like to see where it stands right now.

I have pre-op appointments today, but I plan to sit back at my needlework frame once I'm back home. I'd like to get a little more done before the weekend.

We'll be setting up my temporary main level bedroom this weekend, and I'll definitely be bringing some of my needlework stuff downstairs. I want to have "spoolie supplies", plus a few other small projects available without having to crutch up the staircase. I'll otherwise treat this like a hotel, with clothes in a tote and small closet, and toiletries in our downstairs half bath. I'll figure out other details as I go. Of course, Handsome will be an invaluable help, too, but I won't ask him to do anything that requires going into the studio rooms. If I forget anything, it will just have to wait.

So, anyway, this is where I am with the last bluebird as of this morning. I'll share more pictures as I have more done, hopefully tomorrow! For now, I've gotta "fly". lol

Good luck at your appointments today.
I don't ask hubby to go in my sewing room either. LOL

    1. Hi Marilyn:
Thanks, dear. Appointment update in my Friday post. ugh. I think Handsome would go in if I can tell him exactly where something is. Otherwise, not a chance. lol

    1. Hi Bev:
Thank you so much!! I'm more confident now that I've sorted out that first wing. The second, while detailed, will go easier now. I'm updating on my appointments today in tomorrow's post. We'll see. ugh

  3. LOL! What is it with husbands and sewing rooms?! My hubby, unfortunately, does go into mine to borrow assorted tools... because I usually keep them cleaned and put away in the right places... his own shop and tools, not so much. This must be why he gets excited to give me new tools on special occasions. 😉 😂 The bluebird is coming along so beautifully!

    1. Hi Lois:
That's cute! Because I injured my knee just after my nephew helped me move those rooms around last winter, I STILL have chaos in those two studio rooms. More incentive to clear out and continue purging. For now, I don't blame him one bit for staying clear of all of it. I kind of want to, too! lol Anyway, at least you're getting new tools! Way to go!
      Thanks, dear.

  4. Sherryofcreateology: Good Luck with the Pre-Ops. Getting yourself situated downstairs will be such a relief. You will heal much better not having to go up and down stairs. Your bluebird is looking so beautiful. Enjoy your week dear. Prayers and Healing Energy lifted for you.

    1. Hi Sherry:
Thanks, dear. I have some issues with the EKG, so the surgery may or may not be approved. I'll know more today...another appointment. ugh I'll let everyone know tomorrow. Thank you about the bluebird. I'm thoroughly enjoying THAT process. Happy Weekend to you and yours.
      Thank you again.

  5. My RC will come into my sewing room in quest of something but only after he asks me for explicit 'directions' first. I hope you manage to remember everything you will need to be able to work on your projects without setting your Handsome on a scavenger hunt.

    1. Dear MA:
Are you sure we're not related? Same for Handsome! I have another appointment today (unplanned), so surgery may be in jeopardy. I'll know more today and will update tomorrow.
      Thanks, dear.

  6. Great progress. She is getting more beautiful by the day.
I know what you mean about 'constant pain messes with your head.'
I suffered with migraines for a good forty years, out grew them some time ago.
It's good to be organized and plan ahead so you won't have to worry about it
when you get home. I bet the two little ladies will be spending a good bit of time
with you in your downstairs set up.

    1. Hi Shirley, dear:
I've had exactly one migraine in my life (so far), and it would be fine with me if I never have another. My sisters suffer with them, and I really don't know how they do it. I thought I was going to die, and then prayed to. It was awful. I'm glad you don't have them anymore. I wouldn't with them on another living soul. I think you're right. The little ladies will commandeer my upstairs bedroom and leave me to my lower level dwelling. lol
      Hugs,
