Flying Colors...

That's what it looks like around here while I'm needle dancing with these threads. As I said earlier, I have at least four - and sometimes up to seven - needles loaded and in play at any given time. I think I got quite a bit done yesterday.

You may chuckle to know this, but I had to take a few extra breaks from time to time yesterday, because I got such a restful rhythm going that I nearly dozed off as I stitched. Pathetic, right? sigh

This is the closeup view of the fencing so far. I'm nearly a third of the way finished on the top piece, so I still have a way to go. I'm not giving up. I'm still working toward my weekend deadline. Call me the "little engine that could". (I think I can. I think I can...) More tomorrow...

  2. I can't even imagine... Marilyn chose the perfect description: intense stitching! I have to laugh at the thought of you dozing off while stitching...Be careful, one of the multitude of needles will surely stab you and jolt you to awakeness. 😉 You continue to do an amazing job on it! Such patience and diligence!

    1. Hi Lois:
I know. Isn't that silly that I could doze off while I'm stitching?! I felt like a baby in a high chair getting ready to face plant into my food. lol Thanks for your kind words. I do enjoy what I'm doing, so there's that.

  4. Sherryofcreateology: This is exactly why your stitcheries are so elegant and perfect due to the details of colors and types of needle dancing you do. So beautiful my friend.

  5. I can identify with the nodding off whilst stitching because I've been known to do that on more than one occasion (normally after a sleepless night...or three).

    1. Hi MA:
I'm so glad I'm no the only one! I'm sleeping restlessly these days because of my knees. They frequently wake me up. I told a friend that I'll buy a new bed when they develop a "rotisserie attachment" because of all the tossing and turning I do at night. lol I'll stitch more tomorrow.

  6. I can't tell you the number of times I've 'closed my eyes' while I was stitching.
You are on cruise control with that fence, that's a lot of stitching.
I've had a few of those little engine days in this heat and humidity, I think I can,
I know I can, but I don't feel like it today.

    1. Hi Shirley:
Another "zen" needleworker! Cruise control is a good way to describe it, dear. I know what you mean about the heat and humidity, too. No central air in the farmhouse. Only a few small a/c units. Glad it's cooled off the past couple days. These medical appointments are interfering, though. I completely understand "I don't feel like it". sigh
