My order arrived right on time, so I'll be able to continue work on my Monarch butterfly.
The best part is that there was no discernible difference in color. Great news considering I purchased my threads in 2019!
I've been taking it easy the past couple days because my shoulder and arm have been giving me grief. That's why I've been going to physical therapy. We've determined nothing is torn - and thankfully, my shoulder joint looks great in the xrays - but some days it still hurts like the dickens, and no medicines help. So, on those days, I rest.
The strangest thing is that it never hurt the days I was busy canning, or the day after, so the amount of activity isn't necessarily the culprit. Yesterday was a good day again, so needle dancing won't be an issue, and neither will work for a few hours tonight.
No time to feel sorry for myself. Now that my thread arrived, it's time to get busy again! Happy Weekend!

I'm glad the new threads match!
ReplyDeleteTake care of that shoulder.

Hi Marilyn-
DeleteMe, too! Thanks, dear. I'm trying

Yay! Time for your needle to take flight again! I totally get the shoulder issues... we believe mine comes from a combination of over 40 years of computer work (posture) and, more recently, a too firm mattress that is causing excessive pressure points on the shoulders. I'm a side sleeper, although I prefered stomach sleeping until I was advised that it is not good for the neck and back. 🙄 Is there anything good for you that you can take pleasure in, too? LOL! Don't answer that. 😆 Happy Friday, Donna!
ReplyDeleteHi Lois-
DeleteI'm looking forward to more stitching! I'm a side sleeper, and oddly enough, it I sleep on my shoulder, it feels better. I just answered your question in my head. 🤠Happy Friday, hon.

This will be lovely - so glad you were able to manage to match the color of the thread. Take care and have a delightful weekend. Oh, hope your shoulder gets better. God Bless!
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie-
DeleteThank you, dear. I really glad, too. Although, these threads don't carry lot numbers, I was still concerned because I bought my original threads so long ago. I lucked out!

Did they check your neck? Most of arm pain and nerve issues before surgery were from the neck. PT might be slightly different if it’s coming from your neck. I’m 3 months out from a second fusion and still having nerve issues down my arm, but it is getting better. Hope you find some relief soon. Andrea Hickman
ReplyDeleteHi Andrea-
DeleteYes! In fact, my PT therapist seems to think it originates between my clavicle and first rib. I'll be praying for your complete healing, dear.

Phew - so glad the dye lot on the thread matches - it would be beyond terrible if it didn't.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your shoulder, I suppose it could be atmospheric which is often the culprit when my hands are particularly sore (mind you, spending days wrestling an altogether too heavy denim project is the latest stupidity on my part).
Hi MA-
DeleteMe, too! I started to worry about that while I waited, but I checked the wrappers and they don't distinguish color lots...only color numbers. Go figure! The weather changes always make things worse for me. Honestly, it gets old after a while. I'll head to your blog to see what you're making!
